There is a recall on the wiring to the tow hitch. But that recall does not apply to a hybrid. The service department may not have been paying close attention to your vehicle type.

The Maverick is my first truck. I have nothing to tow, but I got the 4K tow package anyway. I was thinking along the same lines as pa-outdoorsman, the 4K package makes it more of a truck and the added cost is reasonable for the extra items it includes.

Had you checked the status earlier today? I'm trying to understand if the status site gets updated throughout the day or just once daily. I would have assumed that the factory sends updates to HQ once a day. But maybe they are more real time? BTW, the botton date on the window sticker is...

I was scheduled for production the week of 12/19. It's been "in production" now since 12/13. No updates, no modules yet. I hope it gets to the "Built" status today. Fingers crossed.

I think/fear Ford has a lose definition of "In Production". I think it means the order has been sent to the factory. That's a great step forward from waiting and waiting. But I don't think it means the truck is on the assembly line. I think the status of a vehicle changes to "In Production"...

I really like the way you have the 2x4s wedged in with foam. I'm guessing you did that to protect the paint? Did you use pipe insulation foam?

Looks that way. I ordered a MY23 on 09/17/2022 and received my first 45-day email today. I was happy to receive it as it confirms Ford has my order. But I can definitely understand how those who ordered a MY22 Maverick may resent these messages after hearing little else from Ford for year+.
