It was a rental. Max wasn't available. Otherwise, I would have chosen it.

Ford customer service told me that "not required" means you don't have to use it. They said it does not preclude using WDH. I towed a small little guy mini max without WD and experienced no swaying. However, if i tow something over 3500 lbs I'll probably use a WDH.

That's a beautiful unit. I noticed the hitch weight is 470. Maverick limit is 400. Do you think the weight distribution bars will counter the extra weight?

2175 dry weight. Plenty room to add extra weight without maxing out.

in the low teens. Lot of mountains to go over. Best to turn off cruise control and hold the gas pedal steady when going up the mountain. I just let it slow down a bit in order to keep it from kicking into a lower gear. When I did that it got better mileage.

Dry weight was about 2871. Our GCW came in at 7371 so about 800 lbs less than the max of 8145.

My production date was 12/19. I have a sticker, but nothing more than that.

No there is no date. The only date I see is the date the order was confirmed.

Mine also when into production on 19th. Looks like we have to wait till next week.
