Mine didn't either, they can order them though. I did get the next size up- 235 17 65
Bummer - the dealer said that nothing was in stock and all tires have to be installed today!

Found this.
The Michelin Defender 2 sports improved technology to prolong its service life. The MaxTouch 2.0 technology guarantees better road contact to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the footprint, while the EverTread 2.0 compound strengthens the rubber, slowing the treadwear rate significantly.Mar 26, 2025

I'm not recommending Conti Pro Contacts. Hypsypops wanted to know my original tires on my '24 Mav, the ones I dumped at 11.000 miles in favor of the Defender 2's.

22 xlt hybrid - OE Contis are at 4/32 thread at 36k miles so it's time for new tires soon. For context, I live in southern California but travel around the state as well as neighboring states but rarely on snow. I wouldn't have thought so hard on this but now that I have a little one, I want to find the best tire that I can.

I am deciding between the Michelin Defender 2 or the Crossclimate 2 - I'm reading that the xc2 does better in the rain and just as well in the dry as the defenders but significantly better in snow. So the only pro for the defender is the price (cheaper by $100) and longer life. Would love to hear people's experience with these tires or if you have a different tire on your mav that you love! Thanks!
I don't particularly think the OE tires are that great so most tires will likely be an upgrade.

I have looked at the CC2 for my Honda pilot but a black Friday sale on Pirelli scorpion a/s plus 3 tires a few years ago peaked my interest, 70k treadlife and 200 cheaper for the set. They were SUPER quiet and handled so much better it was like driving a different car. Looking at Sam's, deal is stll there til 11-23 again this year still 200 cheaper than CC2. I recently sold the Honda after putting about 30K on the the Pirellis but the tread was wearing well with more than half left at the time of trade and was still quite. For Midwest snow they were good, but I had AWD as well. My plan is to loom for these when the OE tires need to be replaced.

The quiet ride was so quiet that the interstate by me has a 10 or so mile stretch of road that it actually has signs warning of tire noise. It was so loud that you had to turn up the radio and speakerphone calls were terrible as the person could hear the noise on the other end.. these tires made that noise drop significantly and made calls clear again. TMI - the local news investigated why it was so loud and it was a trial asphalt blend that caused it but they don't plan to replace it until it wears out.

I put new brakes on the car soon after and upgraded to high quality ceramic pads, in combo with the new tires it stopped on a dime.

How did it do in the wet? I think at the end of the day, most tires that you can buy will be better than the OE Contis as those had very little grip.
My OEM Michelins handle great, have great lateral traction. Plenty of traction on wet roads as long as there’s no water build up.
They hydroplane way too soon.
@9,500 miles now with 7/32” tread left.
I’ll replace them next month when my dealer starts the Black Friday tire sale. They run it all month.

AT’s what mine does in November but one time it was a $150 rebate redeemable to ford points. I got my next two full synthetic services for free.
It Worked for me.

I don't have recent experience with light truck tires, but the heavy duty 80psi 10ply as required on my Transit(not Connect) and previous Sprinter I found that Toyo made the longest lasting tire. I also found that the Conti all season tire was best on snow and ice. This is all probably irrelevant, since tire companies use different treads and compounds across their entire line, and what's available as a LT tire for the Maverick is not going to be the same as what I used on my Transit(not Connect) and Sprinter.

Just ordered the Conti TrueContact 54's yesterday from Ford (Buy 3 get 1 free deal expires today). Did a ton of research and in almost every review and road test they edge out the Defender 2 just a little. Defender 2 was always on the top of my list.
True Contact Tour 54's is what I got also but I bought prior to buy 3 get 1 sale.
I did get the $110 buy 4 CC from Conti though.

I went with Conti true contact tour 54 Eco plus 70 or 80k tires depending on size. Cheaper than defender 2, are good on dry, wet, light snow, etc. I prefer mine inflated to 37.5psi.
Putting these on my wife's Escape as my dealer highly recommend them. Thanks
