Thank you for this!
We have been trying to find out from our service dept how long before the part comes in, so are grateful to have a time frame from you. Meanwhile, our Mini Cooper's warning light came on telling us we need new front brakes. It's always something, eh?
Yes, that is true! It is always something!

I'll try to remember to post an update here when the part does show up for me..... As well as checking the # still on backorder at that time.

Much appreciated!

I called our Ford Service Parts person yesterday to inquire about when the part will arrive. This morning she returned my call and said the part is expected to be "released" on February 10th, though they may have it sooner. I guess we'll see. I asked again for clarification that the Maverick is still safe to drive and she assured me it is. So that helps.

I just noted that you hail from Buffalo. I'm in NW VT and I send all the best wishes for a gentler rest of Winter!!! You've had a rough row (road) to hoe (plow) this season (even for Buffalo)!

My issue started just after Christmas..... CEL was on for 3 weeks. Then off for a few days. And now back on again today! 🤷‍♂️

The ETA for parts isn't always accurate..... delays are usually due to 3rd party. At the beginning of COVID....tons of parts were delayed because they couldn't get boxes to put them in!

Here's the latest notes on the part availability: SUPPLIER IS SCHEDULED TO SHIP 276PCS 1/27
If that does happen, I think that will take care of all the backorders.

Thanks, yes we have! I am actually south of Buffalo.... in the area that usually gets all the snow, but it has stay more north this year! I hope for a gentle winter too...my hobby is raising exotic waterfowl an pheasants...not pleasant when we get a ton of snow!

That's nuts about the boxes!

Thanks for the info. Shipping on the 27th might get it to the dealerships by the first week in February. We can hope! 🤞

Nice hobby!
Son is an ornithologist...mostly reaching shorebirds, such as American Oystercatchers, and protecting their vital habitat.

Nice!! At one time I was going to go to Cornell for ornithology! I've never seen an American Oystercatcher, but used to see a ton of the Eurasian ones when I lived in Ireland.

How cool to live in Ireland and see birds species there!

Well, if it's any comfort to know, our son checked out Cornell, because he had already (in high school) taken the Bird Biology class through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. We toured the school and visited the lab as well. Turns out (at least in the late 90s) that Cornell University has no relationship with the Cornell Lab...!! We were shocked that the school hasn't set up a related course or internship at the Lab! He was not impressed and we read that Cornell has one of the highest suicide rates of all colleges...which makes one wonder what's going on there. He chose UVM for his BS, then went on to get his PhD through NCSU.

Not to rain on the parade, but it looks like the heat exchanger is now available separate of the exhaust. So which part is ordered?

If it is the exhaust, you might see it at the end of February unless something delays shipping.

Ford Maverick Help with P237C code? 1674275999508

If it is just the heat exchanger, there is not enough to cover back orders.

Glad it worked out for him! I ended up studying linguistics. I still teach language classes on the side & raise the birds - in addition to working at the family dealership!

If the heat exchanger is available, that should be ordered. If not, next level assy would work. The date off B/O looks more promising on the exhaust right now.

I wonder if the work shop manual has been updated too?
There may end up being a TSB or SSM that states to replace 18K463 if P237C is present. That is my prediction.

I assume that the work shop manual can be updated digitally. If not, I'm sure it will be updated by hand in the shops that encounter this.

We were told that our Maverick is fine to drive. But are there any parameters? 4-5 hour trip okay? Highway speed okay?

That is something I don't know for sure. I've had no problems driving mine. I have been driving w/CEL for his code for a month now w/ no issues. The CEL occasionally goes away for a few days, before reappearing.

My CEL just came on today :(. I have an appointment already for Feb. 16th, but they can't get me in any sooner. With this P237C code, is it okay to drive until I can get it in? Someone is supposed to give me a call back from my dealer, but that hasn't happened yet. I have a little over 21,000 miles on it with no problems, until this.

Just had this code pop up on my Maverick today. Dealer won't be able to get me in untill March 1st. Other than the CEL the truck drives and acts fine. Will be keeping folks updated.

Did any of you hear a loud noise when you went into drive mode? I had the same error code back in July and the inlet pipe and valve were replaced. It’s been fine ever since. Ah, my mistake. The error code that I had was p2c22.

I've been driving mine for a month w/ this code w/ no issues. It has been going on and off lately. Parts are on backorder....so it will probably be a while even after they diagnose it.
