Check Engine Code P237F - any others? No help from dealer other than clearing the code.

2024 Maverick Lariat Lux, Hybrid. Delivered Dec 2023 and 7,700 miles so far.

The check engine light came on solid a week ago. Not long after an exceptionally hard braking with the pre-collision assist used. (she stopped REALLY well lol)

Ford says they performed TSB 24-2173 and updated PCM (on the service receipt)

They verbally said it was a nothing code, a mystery and not related to anything and they cleared it for me.


Has anyone else had this code and has more info? I did do a forum search and found a probably related code P237C but that's not the same one exactly.

Yeah I read that - I guess it's related but not the same code exactly.

On my 2024 Lariat hybrid with 10,253 miles, a steady check engine light came on yesterday. Today I had Auto Zone check the code and it was P237F, Exhaust heat exchanger bypass vavle control 'A'. I read the threads and will make an appt with the dealership. It could be a software update. I hope. I'll check back in when I find out the solution.

So has Ford actually addressed this issue with the heat exchanger? Is it still a single welded piece? Is it considered part of the hybrid system and covered for the 8yrs or something else?

There's a CSP providing additional coverage. It is not considered a hybrid drivetrain component.
