I have a dead battery and need to move my truck out of the garage. Does anyone know how to shift into neutral with a dead battery? This is for a 2.0 ecoboost. Thanks

Look up the maverick manual, page 186. Red pull loop under plastic plate. Above cup holders.

From Owner's Manual - Pages 186/187:
USING "MANUAL PARK RELEASE"
Activating the manual Park Release Cable
  1. Apply the Parking Brake. See Electric Parking Brake (Page 194). NOTE: If the battery is dead, for example, no electrical power available, you could need an external power source to apply the parking brake.
  2. Remove the access cover with a tool or key by prying the panel in the upper corner.
  3. Locate the manual park release tether in the center console.
  4. Switch the ignition on but do not start your vehicle. NOTE: do not activate the manual park release with the engine started.
  5. Once in the drivers seat, fully apply the brake pedal and hold. Do not release. Pull the tether strap rearward until engaged. If done correctly, a message appears in the instrument cluster. NOTE: There is an audible click when you pull the tether back in the locked position.
  6. With your foot still fully applied on the brake pedal, disengage the parking brake. See Electric Parking Brake (Page 194). ---> **NOTE: Your vehicle is now out of the "Park" (P) position and is free to roll** <---
  7. Your vehicle remains in "Neutral" (N) for emergency towing purposes.

Mine died, popped the little cover AND No Red Pull Tab!. I reached in the hole and even got a hook and swept around to try and find it and nothing there! Ford roadside assistance is now on their 3rd towing company trying to figure out how to tow it….🤬🤬🤬

Hybrid…haven’t even got someone here yet.
Update: third company came but didn’t have the right equipment to tow it…said he wasn’t told it was a hybrid…this is just comical at this point. Roadside assistance is now trying to find a 4th towing company….unbelievable!
Update2: roadside assistance continues to assign the same towing company that can’t do the job. Am now on tow company #7 and I keep getting calls from roadside assistance that they need to reassign again. Absolutely garbage Ford!

All you need is a flatbed.

Whats the big mystery?

You can drag it 25 feet with tires locked.
On gravel or dirt easy peasy.

On pavement wet the ground first or put bio-degradable cooking oil on the ground to make it slide if it makes you feel better.

But it's just a slow motion skid.
