Hello, my company recently started giving us Mavericks for work. We do all our work ok site so we have lots of material. We used to have f 150s so this is an adjustment. My issues is carrying ladders. The bed is too short to carry any ladders. I currently have them mounted to a roof rack but It doesn't work. We work mostly downtown and with the ladders on the roof I can't fit into parking garages. With a tonneau cover on the back I have no way to attach a bedside mount. Any ideas on how to carry the ladders?

A bed extender wont work they are smaller ladders. I've checked Google but there are no racks that attach while you have a tonneau cover that will work

Unsure of your specific use case, but you could try one of those "little giant" style ladders.

Those are too large. I have to carry 2 5 foot ladders and the roof isn't an option. A bed extender makes me too long. These Toronto parking garages are tiny

Bed extender for the victory.

But even that might be overkill as you could just leave the tailgate down and secure the ladders to the d rings with a bungee cord or ratchet strap.

I was just going to say what 710-oil said. The bed is 4 1/2 feet long. the tailgate is at least 18" no ? Tie the end of a ladder to a D ring. ( I still have my 2010 ranger, awaiting to hear re: my ordered Maverick. My Ranger has always been a big boy toy, as I retired the year after I bought it new. Never did a tonneau. When I get the Maverick I am just going to bolt on ladder racks for my kayaks.)

Why is it your problem to solve and not the company's?
I agree. If the Maverick doesn't work out for them, they may have to go back to the F150.

It doesn't work. I have the back full of bins and other materials and equipment. Tonneau needs to stay on and tailgate closed.

Man it sounds like you need an F-150 then.

Exactly.
No, he won’t do it even though you can extend the bed and shut the tonneau cover.

OP could also use the tuwa pro 12” rack and elevate TS rails with a hard roll tonneau to accomplish what he wants to do.

OP also won’t switch to little giant style ladders that would fit in the bed and give him the room he desires.
I am sensing a no-win solution situation with the OP.

What if you got an overland style bed rack and mounted it on the side of the truck?
(I understand there's still the concern of tonneau compatibility)

Or get extendable ladders that fit in the back seat.
