Help deciding if it's a good idea to remove the "bed tie down locking rails" and remote start from my order?

The only “option” I think is worth a possible constraint for is the trailer hitch receiver. Nearly everything else I can do myself. I’d personally rather have my truck and figure out the options myself, than gamble and never get it to begin with.
This was my thinking as well. My order originally had the Lux package, but I decided to drop it because I'd rather have the vehicle than not getting it for the sake of heated seats. Now I just have a standard XLT and my only options are a tow hitch and full size spare.

Is the tow hitch really constrained? It wasn't in the MY2023 constraint list, but I've seen other posts where people say their dealers claim it's constrained.

To OP, my $0.02 would be to remove any option you can install yourself at a later time.

I don’t think the tow hitch has ever been listed as a constraint, but it isn’t an “easy” addon compared to others that have been a constraint (like the mud flaps and drop-in bed liner). However, it is a no-brainer, because it costs more than $600 to “do it yourself” later. If you don’t pay the $100 for the hitch, you have to buy the hitch, and the wiring harness for a Bronco Sport - and it is a couple hour job. $100 is a literal steal.

The bed rails are an easy DIY job with materials sourced from Home Depot. There's a video on it on YouTube listing what you need. The holes for it are pre-drilled anyway. The remote start is the trickier question. You can use the app on your phone from anywhere there is a cellular connection, but some say the app is crappy (I have zero experience with the app, haven't gotten my truck yet). Someone mentioned adding the PermPlus security system which adds the remote start, but imo it's kinda silly to pay extra for that, then pay to have it installed and activated, when the XLT and Lariat already come with a security system and for an extra $170, gives you the start on the fob. Seems like it'd be easier to just click two buttons on the fob to remote start the vehicle when you're within range, and use the app when you're out of range

They have small add-on boxes (like StartX for example) that are about $100 and will make your truck remote start from your original keyfob.
That is a cheaper option and 100% will not put any risk to your order from constraints p.o.v.

(looks quoting is not working for me but this supposed to be an answer to the last post above :) )

Dateline January 2022: constraints and deleting constrained options with the unconfirmed ‘hope’ (quotes intentional) of enhancing one’s build potential reared its ugly head, the 1st in a series.

I chose to notify my Salesman in late January (also the 1st of several) that the September order will stay ‘as entered’, as I had no interest in diluting from ‘full strength’ to ‘watered down’, knowing there was risk in this stance.

Attempted to minimize the risk by writing a couple of letters (printed, envelopes and stamps!) to Ford brass, initially to ask “will this Order be one of the last ‘22’s or 1st ‘23’s?” (knowing it’d be at least 9 months for delivery).

I received both email and USPS reply’s to these letters AND a Case Number [yippee!] I’m thinking these kept a positive charge associated with my Order number, but it’ll never be confirmed. It’s said “the squeaky wheel gets greased”, but the squeaky wheel can also catch fire and burn the car to the ground…

So the dice were rolled, the order stayed ‘as is’, the truck is now built (confirmed 9-29) awaiting shipment, over a year after the September Order confirmation.

The 2023’s are now in the same phase, having to make the same decisions, with the same uncertainties. Deja vu, again…
