Should XL order add "Bed Tie Down Locking Rails (61D)"?

Hello! I just ordered a 23 XL. Do you guys recommend ordering the bed side rails for $225? I am guessing I can still add that to my order if I want. I see Ford now offers it as a stand-alone option, but they also have these videos where you can build your own. https://www.ford.com/support/vehicl...8474503001?name=build-your-own-bed-side-rail/.

I guess I am asking if the factory rails have anything better/different than aftermarket ones? Thanks!

Honestly, I would leave off anything that might be "constrained" by the time Ford gets around to building your truck. The trailer hitch receiver is an exception, since it's a $100 add-on that can run $500 or more if you buy it later and have your dealer install it.

But, yeah, leave off anything you can easily add later. It just helps to prevent situations where they run out of that part prior to the build and your order gets pushed to the side while they wait on more to arrive.

Thanks for that! I was thinking along the same lines. I also am worried it will be a pain to take off if I want to add a bed liner of some sort. I would prefer to get a drop-in liner and rails installed from factory, but given the demand, I hesitate to add those.
