My truck seems to consistently turn on the heated mirror option on startup even though I’ve turned it off every time, I’ve never actually needed them on so far. Is this happening for any particular reason, or is it a bug?

It may automatically turn on when the temperature gets near freezing?

Wouldn’t happen to have max defrost on? I know it’s defaulted to on for max defrost.

Mine does the same thing and I’ve noticed that once the truck’s thermometer goes below 50 degrees it turns on, so that makes me think it’s programmed to do that. That’s obviously too warm to need them unless they’re just fogged up so I’m wondering if something’s up with my truck too.

Same thing here but after a few minutes it turns off by itself so I just let it be.

My lariat does the same thing. I park it in my garage each night. The garage isn't heated, but it never gets to freezing temps.
I thought since I've set my heating to 'auto' it's probably part of that program.
I usually turn it off, but next time I drive the Mav I'll leave it on to see if it turns off on its own.

If you are remote starting all the defrosters should come on well above freezing. This helps with clearing condensation as well as frost.

Under Settings there is an Auto setting when you remotely start your Mav. Is that on? Anyway, mine does the same thing. Like other people are saying, it probably won't do that when the weather gets warmer.
Glad you finally got your truck Clavicus. Now you can start putting some weight back on.

I cant say for sure but I feel like it turns on for me even around 50F / 12C

Maybe there’s some statistical temperature threshhold for fog as well that this feature is meant to cover.
