Find a ’short’ term solution to bridge the gap until it finally gets built and delivered to you.
That's probably a smart thing, and I probably should have done that. Was considering it too. But...
I’ll be honest. If I Han’t put a deposit down on one I would have bought a Colorado.
For better or worse, I drove home with a GMC Canyon on Monday. 😬😳

I’ll be honest. If I Han’t put a deposit down on one I would have bought a Colorado. It’s close enough to what I needed. Gas is better with the Mav obviously. If you don’t need/want a hybrid and have no deposit riding on this, I’d jump.
I’m sure you could sell the parts on the forum no problem.
The question is, is there anything around ti buy at a reasonable price?

If it’s any help. I ordered 9/11 got a build date of 4/22 and a delivery date of 5/28. so you MAY be close.

XLT AWD Carb Gray w/360 and 4K

good luck
Have a deposit also…. I could get out of that. But the run along. Now I would need to search and see what is out there without a crazy mark up. Yeah I’m hoping I’m close. Thanks 👍🏾

You know, size matters. Maverick fits in the garage, if I got something else in a small pickup it would require a lot of rearranging and be really tight.

11/11 order date here. Still hoping they get me in for 2022. I stopped by Mullinax Ford today and dropped the spray in liner from my order in the hopes it will improve my chances. Also changed the color to Altos blue from Area 51.

In a similar position. My RWD is not suitable for my new and very steep driveway at our build site. Clock is ticking on the day when I have to buy something else.

I'll definitely take delivery of the Maverick even if I buy something else sooner. My salesman (upright guy) told me very clearly that they'll buy the Maverick back at a good profit to me (after taxes, etc) 5 minutes after I take delivery. He was adamant that only an idiot would walk away from a Maverick order right now. Sign the papers. Take the keys. Then ask "wanna buy it back?".
You just made my morning! I needed that laugh and YES I realize you are serious. I think I have a new question for my salesman.

Unless you have a bunch of constraints, your order, hybrid or EB, should get built in MY22. I would look at the possibility of a short-term lease. Of course, as soon as you do that you will get a build date. Hang in there.
I have one big constraint--lux package on a lariat hybrid with spray in liner and hard cover tonneau.

Here's a question no one has asked, have you reached out to the Ford hotline or chat to ask what the current status of your order is? It could getting ready to be built and a short time lease is the smart play, it could also for some reason rollover to the next model year and you should jump ship.
I actually go by a see my salesman every month. He gets so many text he rarely replies to those. My hunch, because the only thing I chose was Lux package on a Lariat, is that it will jump to a 23. Salesman says no. As of 4/8 my vehicle wasn't tagged for constraints and still at a 10 since I ordered on 11/8/21. I will say he keeps asking if I'm SURE I want the color I chose--cyber orange. LOL

Keep the faith. My 11/2 order scheduled a few weeks back for early June so you still have a chance.

I, nor anyone else, can tell you with any certainty if your order will get rolled over to MY23. I do not know if the cover is a large constraint. However, even if it is not one right now, constraints often change, and it can become one. I would consider getting the cover aftermarket and holding tight. Would it make a difference? Perhaps not, but easily purchased aftermarket......

I‘ve been contacting every other week. Now it’s in priority code 2, but that’s been for at least 5-6 weeks now with no build yet everyone keeps saying it’s almost there but then hotline says once you get build date expect 8 more weeks to receive. 🤦🏾
That seems to be about right, I moved from a 19 to a 2 and stayed that way for 3-4 weeks. Two weeks ago I checked and was given a VIN and a date of 05/16 for build. Then I checked last week and I moved to 05/23 build which has held this week. I also received an email from Ford confirming I was scheduled on last Friday. So assuming it does build on 05/23 it will probably take 2-4 weeks to ship to my dealer. So by that math then 7-10 weeks from when you are scheduled to when your vehicle is delivered. That is assuming no issues arise along the way, like the gas tank issue.

Maybe someone else who's vehicle has been delivered can confirm or deny this time table?

RAV4 hybrid was one of the ones I was looking at, for gas mileage purposes. 🤔
Good luck with that, wait times for a RAV4 Hybrid (unless you find one someone passes on) is about 18 months. Hurry up and wait applies to almost everything that is in high demand right now.

On one Toyota RAV4 user forum they also mentioned that Toyota has stopped taking new order for 22 RAV4 Hybrid already.

Local dealership is getting 3-4 each month but XSE model I like 1-2. So, I’m monitoring….

How many of those are pre-sold though? One of my mum's friends got one last month, but only because the person that ordered it decided to pass (market adjusted price no doubt). The last new 22 I saw listed was $25k over MSRP, and that was a base LE Hybrid.

I for one would go for the RAV Hybrid too, if they made a Maverick like version. ;)

True and I would change it & I would change from spray in bed liner to a drop on one, but I can’t as it’s part of the lux package.

Looking at my options. Committed to the Ford Maverick Lariat on 9/4. A 3-4 month promise has become a long road, 8 months and counting. Now I need to check my options. I have to have a vehicle by June when my kids are out of school. Been discussing a short term lease if things are still in limbo, with dealership. Now wondering if I hang in there or jump ship?. My other vehicle has been gone since Jan. and relying on one vehicle in the family is not fun. I have a ton of accessories already, and was wondering if I sell them or hold tight?
Maverick owners what’s the verdict…
