Was the original post a serious post or a sarcastic post?
I'll treat it was genuine. It looks to me like it's right up there with the other mid-size trucks. i.e. Frontier, Colorado, Canyon, Gladiator, Ranger.
Except the bed may not be as tall as the others (not sure about Gladiator, didn't...
Crap ton: unit of mass, imperial unit system. Whereas the British imperial ton is 2240 lbs, and the U.S. customary ton is a mere 2000 lbs, the crap ton is generally recognized to be ~3200 lbs. The weight of a Maverick is 3636 lbs, so a crap ton of Mavericks is about 0.88 Mavericks.
I gave up a little over a month ago. Got a GMC Canyon instead. I kind of figured I'd get a notification my Mav was going to be built the day after I got the Canyon, but nope. I ordered 12/28/21, coming up on six months and no word yet on the Mav being built. If I still had an operational vehicle...
Here's my hypothesis: that "slot" was just a design curiosity and nothing more, and people are like "Hey I can fit a credit card in there! The feature I never knew I needed!"
Unless someone can point to its purpose in the owner's manual, I'm just gonna run with that.
I'm curious about this too. I don't want to pay ~$700 plus tax for a spray-in because at the moment, don't *really* need a bedliner (got a GMC Canyon by the way, I think the dream is dead for the Maverick). But it would be nice to have some protecting for the front wall and sides (and tailgate...
That's probably a smart thing, and I probably should have done that. Was considering it too. But...
For better or worse, I drove home with a GMC Canyon on Monday. 😬😳
I removed Lux from my order three weeks ago, but still unscheduled. 12/28 order, constraint (lux) removed 4/9. Ecoboost, XLT.
Scheduling seems to be almost random. I was kind of expecting that by now I'd at least be scheduled, even if it's another month out, but I'm having doubts. Might go pull...
I test drove a Canyon today...
...it was kind of awesome...
I don't wanna give up on my order but I'm getting tired of having to drive my lady's car anytime I want to go somewhere.
I just test drove a GMC Canyon, Elevation trim. I think it has a couple of options, nothing crazy, MSRP is right about $39,000. Salesman also said they're currently offering financing at three years, 0% interest.
...urrrggghhhhh I shouldn't have taken it for a test drive...it was pretty damn...
Yeah, I went with HPR because the three vehicles I've owned since 2005 (or was it 2006? I can't remember) were all black. I originally ordered with Alto Blue, but once I saw how it's close to black in most lighting, I switched to hot pepper red.
Now all they have to do is build the damn thing.
What kind of treatment would that be?
Anyone have any experience with their vehicle being treated with Krown? The Line-X shop in this town also does Krown application, wondering if I should do that yearly with whatever vehicle I own next.
Question: how long will those decals last before they start to deteriorate/peel, do you reckon? Not that I ever plan on putting decals on any vehicle now or in the future, but I am kind of curious.
