Yes but....Sorry. I didn't buy a new vehicle to be blissfully unaware of an issue that will leave me stranded once I become aware of it. That's kinda the point. If this was some third person owned vehicle with 130+k on it... Ok, I'd expect to test the battery and probably replace it when buying it.
It's a great little truck for what it is, but too many people feel it's just not worth the heartache. Lots of people who love their truck report this issue and it's far more than just the Mavericks too... So it is in fact a widespread FORD problem. They have never addressed the issue publicly and they don't care to. Doesn't exactly instill confidence.
I want to clarify that my reason for uninstalling the app was in the hopes it helped. It hasn't. I monitor the battery as well and it's been very low 11 volts constantly - again, non-dome lights, seat warmers and what also appears to be the wiper heaters (just noticed this thanks to the cold). I'm also guessing no heated mirrors but I'll have to confirm it. That's a lot of features being disabled that people pay extra money for.
I had the worst case scenario with my previous Escape Hybrid, multiple times. Does my EB Maverick still start? Yes. But I paid for a truck that has dome lights and other features when I open the doors lol. If it's this much of a problem when it's new, it won't get any better over the life of ownership. I'm not buying new batteries every couple years and I want a warm butt during Montana winters. If the Maverick can't give me those things that I paid for, then I'll find another vehicle that can. If I didn't want the features I would have just bought an XL, but I like the added safety features of the Lariat too so that was another reason I got it.
Are you on your stock battery or your second battery? Lots of evidence a non Ford supplied battery will cure your woes.
