Got broadsided by a deer this morning.

It keeps getting worse the closer I look. I noticed the hood and the driver's front fender look misaligned. I open the hood and it chipped the paint lightly on the corner of the hood and fender. See attached photo.

I was driving down a gravel road this morning right about dawn doing about 50 MPH when my friend in the front passenger seat started screaming "Deer, Deer' Deer and suddenly a brown object truck my right front fender and rolled down the side of my truck. I slammed on my brakes and jumped out and saw the deer laying on the road.

Your friend was in the passenger seat and alerted you about the deer on the drivers side before you saw it. Good Eye.

Yeah I didn't mention i was watching the two other deer that were crossing the road about 30 feet in front of me. Next time I'll take my eye off the one's I'm dodging and look over my shoulder.

Dropped off my truck at the bodyshop that's the preferred place of my insurance. Gerber is the name. They sent me the estimate today $6542.00. My insurance pays $50 a day for a rental and I arranged to have a Nissan Rogue delivered from Enterprise at $37 a day. They showed up in a Genesis Gv70. I asked how much a day that it is and she said $150 a day. I said no way and she said that was all they had and they were charging me the price for the Rogue. Ok, I got in and the gas gauge was on the E and said 34 miles to empty. She said sorry they just got it back and didn't have time to fill it up. I said i'm returning it empty and she said "of course ". Now the waiting begins.

Thankfully, no one (except the deer, I presume) was injured. Hopefully, your beloved Maverick will be as good as new in a few weeks. At least with your 2025 parts are probably readily available. I know when I first bought my 2022 in Jan of 2022 I was paranoid about getting in an accident due to a scarcity of parts.

That sucks. I also HATE deer. I encourage anyone I know they should take up deer hunting.

Finally got my truck back today but it's not finished. They are having a hard time getting the hood decals for the Blackout package. I said give me my truck and I'll bring it back when you get them in. It looks just like when it was new when I picked it up 2 months ago. Oh boy.

Hi, I’m so sorry that happened to you. It must’ve been quite shocking having that beast run into you. I can’t tell the damage from the photos. It’s very elusive. I can see that a mirror has been knocked out a place but that’s about it. Better photos would be helpful.
