Got my new roll cabinet delivered this morning...

I ordered this from Home Depot on the 16th of October...it sat on a truck dock for 11 days just 40 mile's from me.

Another carrier picked it up from the original trucker... his straight truck was loaded to the gills with HD boxes.

Two guys in the truck and a liftgate made short work of getting in my shop.

Got called to work so I didn't have a chance to open the box...maybe tonite.

Nice, but why not choose other than black??
My workbench is a set of 4 or 5 base cabinets and a counter top from Ikea, all on clearance! Spent about $100 total then added 500 or 750 lb casters on each corner, and still deciding if I even want drawer fronts.

They had a sale on the black ones...$280 off.

I wanted the dark blue but I do have a small black box that I may put on the top of this.

Someday I'll get a larger top box to finish the pair.

My shop is divided into three rooms...

I have a 12' long cabinet in my engine room that serves as a workbench. My plan is to have all my engine parts and assembly tools in my engine room...my general mechanic tools in my larger work area and my oil change/ tire tools where my lift is.

Should have done this 30 years ago. But, back then, my shop.was filled with machine tools...lathe, vertical mill, iron worker, brakes, shear, welders, plasma torch, etc.

I did a lot of fabricating back then.

Worked late as usual but I DID have a chance to open up the box a bit...and install the drawer liners and filled one drawer with a couple wrenches.

22 drawers will fill up fast... I bought this box because of the 24" deep drawers. I have some big wrenches.

I was happy to see the 8 casters are already installed and actually are functional right now despite the "crate" still wrapped around the base of the cabinet.

This thing weighs 760lbs... I wasn't looking forward to breaking out the chain hoist and/or cherry picker to get those casters installed.

The guys that delivered this were from Jamaica via Miami...froze their asses off this morning @ 42F!

Hahaha...

Hopefully I'll have a 12 hour day tomorrow instead of 15... gonna be a busy week as we pickup the Maverick Wednesday AM.
