doubt my $20 heat gun is capablle of that, if I decide to try it, will keep it on low

It takes very little heat to pell them off. Think of them as a sticker. It is below freezing here, and just a slight bit of heat made it come right off. Basically just used it to get an edge up and then peeled it off.

Is there chance of the painting coming up when you remove the decals ?

No you're not going to peel the paint off, just park it in the sun for an hour next week when it hits the '80s start lightly peeling the stickers away.

also, I was told to pull backwards, not outwards. like dont pull straight up, but pull it backwards, basically back on itself.

Thanks to all for the good advice, went outside today and surface temp on the hood was 115 and they were pretty easy to pull off,

seeing the pics without stripes, i wonder who at ford thought that sticker strips would look good. need to fire that person. if they aren't willing to actually paint them on then they shouldn't have bothered at all.

I agree, not too fond of the black roof either, especialy in southern AZ, but at least I don't see it when driving

As an owner of a 2024 Bronco Sport OB and test drove a 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremor with hood stripes before deciding on my 2024 Maverick Lariat Hybrid BAP without the stripes, I will tell you while you may not like the matte stickers lol but the sun hits the hood just right and its annoying AF lol in ones eyes. Will eventually add some to mine

Is the blacked out roof a vinyl decal as well I assume? If so might act like PPF until a rock or two hits it, which it will.

Just normal daily driving I've had touch up a rock chip on the roof, 3 on the passenger and driver side a pillars combined, one on the lower rear ps door and one on the passenger side fender so far in 9000 miles.

No roof is definitly painted.. there was an option to delete the painted roof, but only worked if they ran out of paint..

I replaced my FX4 decals with matching high quality vinyl ones from Etsy. After 6 months the Ford ones peeled right off. The stock decal is just horribly cheap plastic.

Yeah those hood stripes are a miss.
I added lower rocker stripes to mine.

The black roof actually bothers me more than the black decals on the hood. At least the decals can be removed if you don’t like them.
