GFB DV+ installed! Pics and video

What i was specifically curious about, is the GFB brand, and not the Steeda, comes with that little piece, that i assume, goes up inside the factory Valve itself. I was wondering if its to "block off the internal hole back to the discharge that goes to the intake. I'm really curious if im on the right track.

No, I don’t believe it actually blocks the old tube off in any way

There is a little more then that because this actually improves your DV and it’s not just a noise maker. You remove the factory plunger and spring. Then replace it with the new. Snap the 2 parts together and then reinstall

Canada. I guess they do, but I didn’t want to get hit with duty. We have a much lower “exemption” amount.

I found a place here that has one and it’s on its way.

About to install. What tool took off the old studs? Looks like it needs a socket but it’s not 5mm like the new one

I don’t remember but it’s small. Just at the tip and it worked fine. Probably called for a Torx but a socket worked well

Gonna need a smaller socket. I tried 5mm because of the new bolts.

and it came out from the top of the DV, not the bottom right?

I didn’t take one but can confirm super easy. Hardest part is one hard to reach bolt. And the 30 minutes trying to see if you can shine the light down onto the skid plate after you drop it. Ask me how I know.

Couple of extra pictures for clarification. The three OEM bolts are torx, but a 4mm hex socket will work. A rotator ratchet is really helpful. You'll need an allen wrench for the GFB replacement bolts.

What is the difference between the 2 Turbosmarts and the GFB?

I’m all honesty I’d probably do the turbosmart one how. It wasn’t an option when I did mine. I am happy with mine but I would think the turbosmart one would be even louder and that would make me happy lol

So they do the same, just different manufacturers? The turbo smart would go the same place as the GFP? It’s just larger?
