What the best way to get my $500 deposit back or make some money??

You should be able to just ask for it if it is a decent dealer. They will have that truck sold in a week after it is in their possession. No skin off their backs. All it was was paperwork.

OP, there are a gazillion threads on this site about how to check the local and regional value of your undelivered car (Carvana, local dealers, etc) - I get the impression that's what you want to know.

As for getting your $500 back, nobody here can help you. You signed a paper and it either says you get your money back or you don't. My guess is your dealer will say "thanks for getting us a hybrid for our inventory", give you $500 back in two shakes of a lamb's tail, and offer you a free coffee too. Because you just made their day.

Most dealers will hold the deposit until the vehicle sells but some may give it back to you when requested.

You will not make any money on your MY24 hybrid XLT - sorry bub.

This is 100% dependent on the dealership and the agreement you had with them. When you gave the deposit did you ask if it was a refundable or non refundable deposit? If they said it was refundable then you shouldn't have any issue getting your deposit back. If the agreement was that it was a non refundable deposit then you are at the mercy of the dealership. They might still refund it or they might tell you too bad. Have you called and asked them yet because that's the only way you're going to know for sure. No one here can tell if you if it will be refunded.,

If you don't think the dealer will give you your deposit back then you will have to brush up on your poker skills. I'm sure he or she would just love to have that Maverick in there inventory. I would think it would be in there best interest to give you a deposit back.

I would go to the dealership in person and ask them. A lot easier to say no over the phone than it is to someone in person.
If they say no to you in person when the truck comes in tell them you changed your mind and want to buy the truck, this might get them to change their mind. If they don’t change their mind then go through the process of buying the truck until it comes time to sign the papers.
Then tell them you thought it over and you don’t want the truck and walk out the door. Might as well bust their balls if they’re gonna bust yours !

Sorta sounds like the dream to flip dissolved with the market. Hopefully you have it in writing that the deposit if fully refundable. If not, maybe a hard lesson learned

Like others have said I would just go into the dealership. I had to get my deposit back and they were very flaky over the phone. However in person was a different story.
