Already miss my 2022. It was simple finding info. Now everything is computer screen and I'm not a computer geek. The gas gage is a vertical line not divided in sections line the old style. At the bottom it shows numbers. Example 345 to E. But the numbers go up instead of down. So thinking it might need refill I tried filling but it was already full. So what's up with the new gauge?

The numbers go up if your fuel economy is exceeding the current estimated range.

There are 9 bars that represent the the fuel level. I’ve attached some pictures for reference of a full tank and an approximately quarter tank. I agree it is very confusing looking at first take. Also it appears now the final production units actually just display one hash line to represent the level. The coolant temperature uses this same scale as well.

Just got my ‘25 on Thursday. That gauge is definitely not the best, and I miss my ‘22 as well. The ‘22 was easier to read. Mine has just one white ‘arrow’ and I wish it had all of them like pictures above. When I look at the gauge my eyes are drawn to the red at the bottom, and not the one single white ‘arrow’ at the top.

Not sure who their user interface/experience person is, but they need to find another 🙁

Compared to my 22 EB Lariat, the new gauge (once you know what to look for) is more accurate due to more lines on the gauge. However for me, I prefer looking at my Ford Pass app...it gives the % level of the tank!

It seems like the user interface, and ergonomics, gets worse and worse with each re-design of most vehicles. Wouldn't you think it would be just the opposite? It's as if they hired a bunch of morons to design this stuff. (and it's not just Ford)

The new style gas gauge can take some time to get use to at first. I suppose it was when instead of decreasing , the numbers started to increase you got confused. Instead of dropping down from ‘E,’ the gauge rise can be from ‘E’ pointing towards the amount of fuel used in most new cars. Aestation is it just a different way of indicating how much fuel is remaining in the tank. In simple words, if the upper portion of the handwriting goes from “345” up then their tank is full, do not fill it with any more gas.

Makes me laugh. Every time I see a redesign they make it worse.

I saw on video they removed the drive mode button from center console to menu steering wheel . Is that true and does it finally REMEMBER last drive mode it was in.

Overcomplicatedness.

Yes, it is on the wheel. Has two buttons, to go left or right through the list. I have heard it will prompt asking if you want to use the last mode you had, but I have not tried that yet. I went to Sport mode once to see what the gauges looked like, but forgot to look at the dash when I got back in; to see if the message came up. It do not just go into Sport by itself, went to normal as I expected it would.
