Hey Maverick fans. Been great reading posts and seeing the creativity while i waited for my 2022 Mav XLT. Got email from Ford they won't be building my Mav. Cancelled all constraints months ago, and they still can't build it. I sent dealer my cancellation email to receive my refund. Bought a SEL Santa Cruz with activity package. Very happy. But not what i wanted. I have new seat covers, Weather Guard floor mats and 2 tool boxes for Mav if anyone is interested. Shame, i'm a loyal Ford owner
Best of luck with your Santa Cruz, how much over MSRP did you pay? If reasonable, tell me your dealer and maybe. I’ll stop bye and see if he has any more deals? It’s not looking good for my September 18 XLT AWD LUX CP360 order.

Ford is not cancelling orders. Some dealers may tell customers that to pacify them or to take their orders and sell them at a substantial markup, or to cover up a botched ROVP.

A Babel fish is nearly as good.

Although by effectively removing all barriers to communication between different races and cultures, it has caused more and bloodier wars than anything else in the history of creation.
Great Douglas Adams quote.

Please post this email from FORD for the rest of us to see. Several people have come on here saying they got a similar email- but never post it when asked. AFAIK, the mass email from FORD telling us if we get built MY2022 is not expected until around August 1. I'm hanging tight until I see an email from FORD telling me the game is over.

Pretty sure Ford has NOT sent any emails that say “your Order will not be built”. I’m holding tight until I get such an email, at which point I’ll be driving a Ridgeline or CR V hybrid. I wanted a truck, I really don’t need a truck and my 18 RAV4 hybrid is giving me 33/34 MPGs. But the new Honda CR V hybrid is sweet and gets over 40 MPGs… I guess it comes down to how much I really want a truck.. I love the Ridgeline but gas costs money.

or to cover up a botched ROVP.
Betcha it's to cover their not being able to handle COVP/ROVP. Probably only ever sold from inventory, and don't know how to deal with an actual order.

This might be one time when going with a dealership that does mostly fleet orders is a good thing- they know how to use the ordering system.

Here's one for the books. I ordered a 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid with luxury package and 360 co-pilot on Oct 27, 2021. Got the confirmation email from Ford and verified it was submitted via appropriate processes. It was assigned a priority 02 by Ford in June which I understand means everything is available to build the truck. Ford then designated the 02 priority with a "p" which supposedly means the truck has been pulled for production. Today I learned the "p" designator was deleted and then truck will NOT be scheduled for production. According to the dealer, the reason was Ford does not want to build vehicles with the 500A package and is opting to build the XL models instead. Is it any wonder that Ford's reputation is in the toilet with crap like this?????
Lets say youre making decisions for a company for a moment. You have parts to build four xl trucks, or one lariat lux copilot hybrid trucks… which makes more sense for the company? Lol cmon. Fords reputation is not hanging on your order. You have to imagine the intelligent people making millions of dollars to make decisions for ford motor company have a full understanding of the effects on the company’s reputation. Sorry youre so upset. But like has been said to many of the people in your position here on this forum… your wallet remains in your hands. Spend it someplace that wont make you so angry 🤷‍♂️

I am not sure your dealer has the right information. I ordered a hybrid Lariat in September last year with 360 copilot and 500a package and it was built on July 5th.

I'm pretty sure he gave me the right scoop. Information came from the Ford zone manager who got his info from a Ford scheduling agent. Who do I believe?

Well, I have a 500A package truck scheduled for week of August 22. And my second 500A truck was moved from PC16 to PC2 this past week, indicating progress on that truck as well. Both were ordered in October. The one that is scheduled was ordered 10/13/21.

So I'd second the notion that your dealership is not giving you the correct info.

Hmmmm. Then I don't what or who to believe. Glad you got yours scheduled.
