I'm not able to pull up the window sticker yet either is the dealership. She told me Ford said it was credited which lets me believe that it was indeed on the order or it wouldn't even show up. She was frustrated too.

More safety features you have, the lower your insurance premium can be. Every little bit helps.
My insurance was not lower with those functions. Not sure why it is in some cases when I can just pay attention as the best safety function

Ford didn’t drop that off your 22MY order. They changed the options and packages on the MY23 builds.

Your 22 has been canceled altogether. Your getting a 23. You can add it as an add on after they finish the conversion process this week.

They didn’t do it to piss you off personally. They did it to make building more trucks possible. The assist feature is a constrained product. But if you want it add it back on the MY23 order and wait to get your truck built.

Someone posted a month ago about CHIPS needed for the Co=Pilot360 were being changed to require less number of chips. I would never reorder a Maverick if it did not have CoP-360, nor any other vehicle w/o it.

I don't believe this. Dealer screwed up. Do you have a DORA printed with the sales code showing that you ordered it ?

Convenient there is no way to verify Ford removed it. You won't see a credit, if they really did it just won't be on the sticker. It is not standard equipment, so it isn't like the WiFi hotspot that creates a delete credit on the window sticker.

Sales person could care less if you are mad at Ford, as long as they are still making money. They are just letting Ford be the "bad guy" because technically you can't prove otherwise. Ford has screwed up plenty, but this smells like all the orders dealers removed CP360 last year without permission from the customer and then said "Ford made us do it". No...no they did not, the dealer chose to remove a constraint to ensure a sale whether to the COVP or someone else at a markup. Your case seems like just a screwup vs ignoring what you wanted since the CP360A is below the constraint level.

Can someone explain why the cp360 and 360a proponents are sooooo adamant about those options? Personally I’d rather not have them. No repairs in the future and nothing intrusive when i drive. I just want to drive. That said, why do some like these features so much?
There are a lot of us who only upped to the Lariat to get adaptive cruise. If I wait this long only to have a truck show up without it, I'd be very upset because I could've saved $4k and just gotten the XLT lux. And now I'm stuck paying a fair chunk of change more for features I don't care about, or not getting a truck at all.

So your opinion of it is fine, but it's a great feature to a lot of us, one we were willing to pay quite a bit more just to have.

The OP of this thread isn't one of the cancellation/re-entry people. They simply re-ordered in September when the banks were open since they didn't have a VIN yet.

A 12/19 build date is for trucks that are not going to get built as 22MY vehicles.

The last 2022 will be build the the week of 11/21/2022.

While the December dates were originally only used for the purgatory state of the MY22s to be cancelled, Ford has already scheduled MY23 vehicles for those weeks.

It appears that some 2023 orders are being assigned 12/19 build weeks so I think those will be built. But????

Tim said those are now given a January date. The December ones are real ‘23s. But not the cancelled ‘22s.

Interesting situation. One of the things I made clear to my dealership was ACC was a requirement and I confirmed with the DORA that my order has CP360A on it. I have not seen anything about Ford removing that. Especially with Ford announcing CP360A being under capacity now.

I like not having the feather the throttle on two-lane highways or when the interstate gets into the city. Regular cruise will full-speed it into a wall whereas ACC will adjust your speed to the traffic but then return to your set speed once traffic clears. I'm not one of those that get a thrill out of traveling. It is just a necessary evil to get to where I need to be. If someone were to invent a transporter system, I would never buy another vehicle ever again.

The lane-keeping is neither here nor there. I have an essential tremor so I do appreciate the minor assist but my Escape can get a little overzealous at times.
Ok, thank you. This i understand. It’s for people who don’t really like to drive and would rather be a passenger.

For me, i have driver cars. A zr1, and a couple challengers, a full off-road Jeep etc. I’m more of an engagement while driving guy.
Makes sense now

What were you insuring before your Maverick?

55mph one lane each way medium traffic roads through rural parts in between towns, having your car just maintain it's following distance to the car in front of you without requiring any input is a nice feature to have. Especially as someone who likes to use normal cruise and gets frustrated when I can't because people are incapable of maintaining a constant speed.

It's a quality of life improvement I look forward to enjoying.
