All my door locks work perfectly but to those that have this cover on their Mav, is it supposed to be flush with the back window or a space such as mine currently has?

Mine was installed too far forward, and the rear seal didn't sit on the top of the tailgate, which let water in. They moved it back about a half inch, or so, and it seals much better.

You can add a strip of closed cell foam or weather stripping to eliminate the gap.

I moved mine so the rubber goes under the glass, too much dirt and leaves there. The seal at the tailgate is not that good anymore but I like that way better, It should be 1/2 inch longer if you asked me.

I split the difference on mine. But like others have said, it’s definitely not water tight.

Mine has the gap near the cab, and it is essentially water tight. Even when I wash it, I get maybe a teaspoon's worth of water in the bed. That may change once the seals dry out, but it's been good for a year and a half in the Florida sun and rain.

Great. Another thing this forum is going to make me go fidget with....a Teaspoon would be an improvement.

mine has the same gap from the cab. Yet it seems to be completely (for now) water tight. We have had some torrential rain storms and so far it is dry. It does trap snow and ice though and it would have been better if it went right up to the cab. The tailgate fit is nice, might have gotten lucky with the install which was done by a contractor through the dealership where I purchased the Maverick. We will see what happens when I get the racks installed for my kayaks in May.
