I just got my 2026 lariet and it comes with a 1 year connectivity package. What is it and is it worth the trouble and would you keep it after it expires?

As other people have said. I lost the in truck apps like YouTube and karaok. I also lost Alexa in the truck. I did not renew. I like turning my lights on from inside the truck with Alexa and watching YouTube but I can do both of those with my phone. I live in an area with good cell phone reception so as long as they don’t touch my “Ford” App, I’m good.

We just covered this in our livestream a couple weeks ago, go to 27:26.
I don't understand why anyone with a smartphone would pay for any of this. Carplay does all of this through bluetooth on my iPhone as far as I can tell. Also these guy just like to hear the sound of their voices. They are the kind of people I would avoid like the plague. People who use the most possible number of words to tell something. I skipped the first 22 minutes and stopped listening at the 38 minute mark. Did I miss anything? I doubt it. If I did, I don't care as to continue was far too painful a process

It is a podcast/livestream where we were covering information on orders when no other dealer was helping through Bronco, Maverick orders.

I did say to ship to 27 minute mark where we started talking about Ford Connectivity Package.

I'm truly sorry I did not hear you say to skip forward. I'm sure you provide a valuable service to some users, it's just not for me. I was really not hoping to spend more money on yet another subscription. We all (I assume) dropped our cable to streaming to save money, not to mention land lines for smartphones, but with the proliferation of "must have" streaming services and apps, that price gap seems to narrow daily. As soon as I figured out I can have just one SiriusXM account to cover two cars and both our cell phones that saved me money, though they came back with an offer "I couldn't refuse" so both cars are subscribed at a reduced rate for now. Same with newspaper subscriptions; cancel = better offer. I did check out Ford's prices and they are definitely not worth it to me, though if they offered a far better rate I might reconsider for the convenience on not having to connect my iPhone. every time. Best of luck in your podcast, though there are already far too many of those around IMNSHO. So to sum it up, I think a far better use of your time would be to send out a podcast on how to get the most VALUE out of "smart" cars. How to get the most for the least. But maybe that's just me and if the logo in the background is any indication FoMoCo might well cut off any support they might provide.

Just replied to a similar thread so this may be redundant. Seeing how this service is not physically attached to the car, can the 7-year $745 option, be deleted from the MSRP prior to purchasing the car? I would think so, but one dealer already told me that they can't delete a factory option. Hello .... It's not even there until after the first year trial ends, so why can't it go bye bye ahead of time?

I agree with most others. Using Android Auto, or whatever iPhones call theirs, is much better and doesn't cost you any more than your current cell phone plan. Skip Sirius as well, as you can do all that on your phone.

For the same reason some people continue to insist on paying for cable, or home phones, or dial up, or any of the huge number of scams in basically every market like home warranties or solar panel payment plans.

They know the bare minimum of how the system works and dont want to look into how things have changed and if there is a better way of doing things, that would require learning something new, and that's scary!
