Ford app is deleted

So after this last episode the ford app more orless said my truck didn’t exist i deleted it.to much trouble to keep up with bs changes without prior warning.got to a point it’s useless so by by!

Software having issues? No way! Works fine on this end and the 6 people I know with it.

We do complain about losing real time GPS tracking with the update.

I know this might be upsetting, but could it be the hardware you are using? Could it be user error?
It is hard to believe it is an app issue with some many, across all models of Fords, are able to use it without issue

I personally would check your hardware, aka your phone.

No issues here on my 3 year old android. If anything, the app runs smoother now than it did with the previous version. Just wish they didn't take away the option to add your own service records.

Yeah, Ford completely hosed it up with it's stripped down functionality. I just reinstalled it today after deleting it several months ago. Not much to it. I told my son-in-law about it after I deleted the app. So he codes web pages for gainful employment. His take was, it's easier to maintain the website/software with less bells and whistles.

My iPhone won’t support the new operating system, iOS 16.0. Not buying a new phone.

You can go to ford.com to add your personal service records, it was so much easier when we could do it through the app

same here. usually you can download an older version but it gets into this update, can’t update, update loop. I just deleted it.

Not sure why it was necessary to make this announcement. Nonetheless it has been pared down in terms of information provided. But it has always worked just fine. iOS16 should be sufficient to run this app without having to upgrade a phone.

If they monitor this site then bring back the option to add the services performed on the truck using the Ford App. There was NO REASON for deleting this option other than to save on some storage space somewhere or use it against owners in case warranty issues arise. I think the 2nd reason is why it was deleted since the Maverick appears to be having mechanical, electricial and software issues as it ages.
