Do mavs follow an allocation process at the dealership?

I thought customer orders don’t follow that process and ford just builds what they can each week and ships them out.

it’s probably some intern with a pivot table that just pivots out what they have stock of, and they just do mass batching of like color runs.l and options.

I asked Zach from Granger about that a few days ago, I think he said from dec 24th to jan 27th it was something like 361 mavericks

My concern is Ford has just overbooked. It looks like they can produce less than 100,000 per year. What if they took 140,000 orders?

It all depends. Dont they build the bronco sport and escape in the same plant? If so, and those are selling less, and the maverick is selling more, then they just make more mavericks.

I assume Ford used historical ordering trends to correctly foresee the day when EB orders had to be cut off, as they did with the hybrids. Presumably there was some wiggle room built in the estimate.

It’s possible a huge last minute surge put them over the limit, but there were only a few days between the announcement and the cut off, so it couldn’t have been too big. You have to assume it’s OK unless we hear otherwise.

One thing is for sure, this plant will be working flat out right through the summer until model year changeover!

I'm interested to know if people used the 3k off to get all the options or to make a cheap truck cheaper. Also to see if they avoided the constraint list or not.

Personally I ordered a XLT, AWD, 4k Tow.

I ordered 12/28 XLT AWD white w/ hitch and floor trays. I'd say that I'm well within the first third of all the orders. Hoping for a summer build.

Picking up my 12/13 XL AWD build this Saturday.

XL AWD EB with CP360. I used the $3,000 to make a cheap truck even cheaper. I will have to add the Rostra aftermarket cruise, and I really think the XLT interior is the most unique of the three trim levels. I could have afforded an XLT, but I didn't think it was worth $2,000+.

Rostra is too invasive.

Makes no sense when the truck is pre-wired for factory CC. Just add the buttons and turn it on with Forscan.

I agree. That is the way to do it.

Maybe @Granger Ford could come up with a price if there is enough interest to add the cruise control buttons before we pick up the trucks from them. I'm interested and don't really wanna take out the air bag and mess with forscan myself. Not really sure that Ford would let Granger change programming to add it though. Worth a shot.
