Searched eBay for Ford folding rear headrests, looked for some that matched color and looked like they might fit and asked a few sellers for measurements. I forget but I think Fusion had wider positioning of the shafts and wouldn’t work and C-Max might be the same as Mav. Also made sure I could return in case they didn’t fit.

They actually have a good point, but it's subjective to say the least. Plenty of vehicles with no rear view mirror usage on the roads. But yea, the "it's a truck" argument is incredibly idiotic. 90% of people don't even use full size trucks for full size loads...

But their argument is being aware of your surroundings without the need for the entire rear window. Blind spot mirrors are a great addition to help. I can't say I've ever needed the headrests removed either. This might be the first forum I've ever seen people make such a big deal about it.

Again, I don't think it's a dumb idea... if you want more visibility for the limited amount of scenarios you'd need an entire view of what's behind you without the use of mirrors and the rear view camera or simply checking your blind spots, then it's a good idea. But it's not entirely necessary either like some people make it out to be.

anyone know of adjustable headrests for front seats on a '22 Hybrid XLT?

The headrests on my front seats are folding, I have a lariat EB.

Installed these 2013-2019 Escape folding rear headrests (eBay purchase). Matches the XL black cloth interior. Great fit but they do not lock in - the notch in the shaft that locks them is a bit smaller than the OEM. I might modify it later but it is a snug fit - they aren’t going anywhere. Provides a lot more rear visibility and they clear the front seats when folding the rear seat down.

Looks good. I miss my 2022 Maverick. My 2023 doesn't have the sliding window. The 2023 and 2024 don't offer a sliding window anymore. Damn drunk driver who wrote off my truck!

This is pretty freaking awesome!!

With my XLT Tremor package I can't take advantage of this hack but I really like it.

I am a staunch defender of the Maverick platform here and I think a lot of people complain about nothing or they have never owned a Ford before - but there are 3 things in a modern vehicle that I feel should be 100% standard across the board - 1. leather wrapped steering wheel - you legit touch it 100% of the time you are driving. 2. Tilt/telelscoping steering wheel - WHY wouldn't you want your driver to be AS comfortable as possible? 3. Adjustable headrests - see point about 2.

I agree. I pull the rearview mirror off the trucks I get because I have something obstructing the view out the back anyway.

With blind spot mirrors, I only have a "V"-shaped blind spot maybe 20ft directly behind the vehicle.

I would've benefitted from some hood mirrors on my F-250. That thing had blind spots by the headlights that hatchbacks disappeared into.

I don’t think the Mavi headrest block too much rear view, but I always want more. I like to see EVERYTHING around me when I drive.

I bought a convex 300mm clip-on rearview mirror for this exact reason. I see EVERYTHING behind me, my blind spots, and can even view vehicles several lanes over.

Maybe you don’t, but I like to see everything around me. Truck drivers that don’t care about that make me nervous. I’ve seen way too many drivers who think that their “truck” is better than anything else on the road. It’s silly, no, it’s stupid not to care about other drivers.

Its not a real truck anyway… its a car with an open bed!!
