Mine have notches on both Mav and Escape but they are different. Mav has one wider notch only on the right post, about an inch from the top. Escape has a thinner notch on both posts about 1/4 inch from the top.

Installed these 2013-2019 Escape folding rear headrests (eBay purchase). Matches the XL black cloth interior. Great fit but they do not lock in - the notch in the shaft that locks them is a bit smaller than the OEM. I might modify it later but it is a snug fit - they aren’t going anywhere...

I’m running into trouble trying to temporarily remove my DeeZee Tailgate Assist. For the install the shock just popped on. Tried pressure by hand and pry bar. No luck. Need some expert advice from MTC! Anyone know how to remove?
