Just noticed my first blemish - scratches on the bottom plastic trim of the drivers rear quarter panel. Any suggestions for making this disappear or at least be less noticeable?

It won’t be a perfect match, so try in an inconspicuous spot first, but a car dealership make-ready guy showed me how to touch trim scratches up with a Sharpie Marker.
Works pretty well for me.

The plastic won't rust so it's 100% cosmetic. It's a truck now. Wear it as a badge of honor.

Just throw a sticker on it like high school students do with pimples.

I've restored matte plastic like this with Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint. It does a very good job, and is very easy to work with. It is made specifically for painting plastic like this.

You'll probably want to paint the whole part rather than just over the blemish. You could of course try spot touch-up first and see how well it blends. Depending on how deep the scratches are, you may need to knock down any "ridge" in the surface that is there with some sandpaper before prepping for paint.

I’ve had good luck with Meguirs Ultimate Black. Work extra good into the scratch. Will go a very long way towards making it way less visible

I had my Mav about a week when I was parked in an empty section of the lot at a Home Depot when someone intentionally ran a shopping cart into the driver side door. The lot was level, so it was no accident. 🤬 After the first ding, the others don't hurt so much...

I have been tempted since I took ownership of this, the first new car I have ever purchased for myself, to take a ball peen hammer and create a small dent at spot of my choosing just to get it over with!
