My journey was just over a year on my order. I truly feel for others who have waited much, much longer then me. I finally got my 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, with Lux package, Copilot 360 and Copilot 360 Assist, yesterday, 01/26/2023. I absolutely love it. Although purchase date was yesterday, I've had it since Monday as a loaner so I could drive it and have it in my possession while I waited for my dealer to continue working on my "Private Offer" with Ford. When the private offer never showed up after truck was built and shipped, I got onto my sales manager about it. My dealer, who I also work for, realized they screwed up on my 2022 order by not getting it COVP approved, which is why it never showed up under my account. My sales manager has over 20 yrs experience dealing with Ford on these type of issues. I'm sure he was much more persistent working with Ford on this because I'm an employee there, and it is a "we are family" type of dealership. But after 11 days, Ford approved my private offer and issued a certificate number for my purchase yesterday.

So if you had a 2022 order that wasn't built, reordered a 2023 and didn't get a private offer, there is hope that it can be done. I'm sure it will depend a lot on your sales manager experience, their relationship with Ford contacts and their willingness to work on it.

Louisiana will not allow a vehicle that pretty to be on the road. L O L. What part of the state are you in since I grew up in the Hammond area? Enjoy your beautiful Maverick.

I live in Lake Charles, a little bit down from Hammond, lol. I have driven to and thru Hammond, quite a few times.

Small world. My daughter was born in Lake Charles. I taught school in Cameron many years ago and lived in Creole. Enjoy your Maverick and endure the Mosquitos.

That’s encouraging news on getting the private offerout through.

Our Mav is on the way (in transit), and we’re trying to get this resolved before it arrives. Apparently there was an inconsistency in how our name was entered in the system between our MY22 order and the MY23 reorder, which made the private offer not show up.

But we know our orders had been COVP approved, so good to know you were able to get your private offer even when that hadn’t been done, since that has to be a bigger issue than a typo in a name.

I hope …

Unfortunately the dealer is working with a brand-new Ford Inventory Specialist, so taking longer than I expect it should.

If it's just a typo error, the dealer should be able to get that resolved relatively easy. Good luck!

Lady at Ford Customer Service gave me an “incentive reference number” for the rollover to give to my dealer. Said it was for $1,750. Is that the same as a private offer?

so you work for a Ford dealership and still got screwed up by them not doing things correctly. I couldn't imagine how frustrating it woud be for a non-Ford employee customer to have deal with this similar experience with less desirable outcome.

That sounds like it. My sales manager called it a certificate number but it is for the same as you listed, incentive for rollover. Mine was $1750 because my 2022 order was for a Ecoboost.

I hear you. That's why I believe it will depend a lot on the sales manager doing your deal.

Yep, that’s the same thing. $1,750 if you’d ordered a MY22 EcoBoost and reordered a MY23, and it was more if a Hybrid order.

The offer with a certificate number is supposed to automatically show up in Ford’s “SmartVincent” system once you have a VIN on your MY23 order, as long as your MY22 order and MY23 order match identically as far as your first and last name, ZIP code, and maybe phone or email match exactly, character for character.

Also, the MY22 order must have been “COVP” approved in the Ford system. (Customer Order Verification Program)

You would think so, wouldn’t you? But apparently it is something only the dealer’s Ford Inventory Specialist can make right, even though the dealer has a record of both our MY22 and MY23 orders.

Ha, yes, you would think it should be relatively easy. What I’ve noticed is a lot of people here are having problems getting their dealer to formally address their issue of the private offer with their inventory specialist. Or, at least properly communicate with customer about it. It is on the dealer to get the ball rolling and follow up with Ford about it.
