Join Illinois Farm Bureau (it's only $20/yr) Anyone from any state can join. You will save $480 when you take delivery of your truck. I bought 2 Mavericks in 2023, So I saved a total of $980. Well worth joining, also it lets you get up to 5 certificates per year.
Edit: you have to chose a county.... I picked COOK COUNTY, but any one will do.
Yes. I am in Cook (Crook) county and it was $20.

Anyone hear if farm Bureau is extending the 500$ rebate past 1/2/2024 ? My maverick is in route but more than likely will not be delivered until after 1/2/2024 .
I sure hope so - not sure how best to confirm it. My truck has shipped and is due to arrive between 1/10 and 1/16/2024. I've been a Farm Bureau member for many years.

can you just use the old expired certificate, and the dealer click "protection date" in Vincent? if your truck was ordered in 2023, but delivered example in feb 2024?
No, the cert states that you have to "take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer's stock by January 2, 2024." Unless, your dealer is willing to eat the $500 because it appears that Ford will not honor the cert.

I have my cert that expires on January 2nd and I am picking up my Maverick on the 5th. I have called Ford about this and they said I should be able to get a new one on the 3rd or 4th. So I am not too worried about it.

$500 either way is not a deal breaker for me nor will I let it steal my Joy.

The "Incentives by Order Date" option in SMART Vincent effectively makes your delivery date the order date for promotional purposes (incentivized financing, rebates).

I just checked out the rebate and the website (at least the Virginia Farm Bureau) says you need to be a member at least 30 days to qualify.

this is correct, you canot join the same day, and try to buy the truck

you could join dec1, and use it dec 31st. if your truck was just built, and hasnt been shipped, as shipping usually takes 3-5 weeks in most cases.

My truck was delivered to the dealer today and I was able to get the rebate confirmation from NC Farm Bureau. It says it expires 1/2/2025. That should cover most of the "doc fee".

Edit: picked up the truck a couple days ago and had no problem applying the Farm Bureau rebate. It's a good idea to print out the confirmation and bring it with you as I needed it.

I got it last week, expires 1/2/2025, Nice to save $500 for a $20 investment in Cook County Farm Bureau. When I joined, the employee said you must be a Ford customer. They know what is going on.

My dealer said the rebate would come to me as a check. Does this sound correct? I just picked up my truck 2 weeks ago.

It’s possible. There is an option for the check to be sent to you directly. In my experience dealers usually deduct the $500 from the purchase price and then the rebate check is send to them.
I had one order that they couldn’t figure out how to do it at the time of sale. Then they worked through it and applied for the rebate after the sale and had the check sent directly to me. Came in like a week. I couldn’t believe it. I was preparing myself for a fight and long wait.

Does anyone know if the Farm Bureau rebate comes out of the dealers pocket or Ford's? I'm getting a pushback from my dealer on allowing it because I was able to get a discount off MSRP. Truck was ordered last month.

It's complicated. The dealer is the one selling you the vehicle not Ford so technically the dealership is giving the $500 discount. What the dealer then has to do is send in your certificate number and other information to Ford who then reimburses the dealership the $500.

The second part is where a lot of dealerships have trouble and why they are hesitant about giving out corporate discounts. Ford is notoriously bad about reimbursing their dealerships. They either don't do it at all or only offer the dealership a partial reimbursement and this process can sometimes take months.

So if Ford drags their feet on reimbursing the dealer or just out right refuses the dealership ends of eating the discount.

I got my 25 Maverick shipment notification yesterday so I requested my certificate, not realizing it expires on 1/2/2025 (estimated delivery is 1/5/25)

If my Truck doesn't get delivered until after that date, can I request a new certificate (or still use this "expired" one) good until 1/2/2026, or did I just screw myself?

Thank you for any help.
