Ok after seeing this posting I bought the cheap ladder rack described from Amazon for $128. It took 6 hours of fabricating but it is now on my Maverick. The unit is build well and attached only to the bed tie downs so I can quickly remove it. Happy with the purchased and the utility it adds...
They sent a new key and it worked perfectly. Good to know this company will stand behind their keys.
Very happy to have spare keys at a reasonable cost.
Every Maverick owner should order a spare, It is too easy to loose a key, and with one key only, you can no longer program your own key...
Got the 2 keys, one worked perfectly, the other would not even slide in the lock. Contacted the seller by email (outside of Amazon) and they immediately responded to my email asking for a new picture of the key and said they will send a new key.
I will update on the results.
Just make sure you do in in a closed garage that has ventilation. I did not have any over spray problems with the spray paint I used. And do very thin coats so the paint does not run since the rims are vertical.
I painted mine but do it in a garage so there is no wind, and paint many very light coats. Worked great! The one picture is when I pulled it out of the garage.
Flew in at 10 am to Des Moines, Granger sent a driver to pick me up, they were so organized, I was driving back for my 6-hour trip to Northern Minnesota in less than a half an hour at the dealership. I got home before it got dark (Wow!). They were professional and courteous. Purchasing a new...
I got it last week, expires 1/2/2025, Nice to save $500 for a $20 investment in Cook County Farm Bureau. When I joined, the employee said you must be a Ford customer. They know what is going on.
Looks like the Gateway Yard is used to break up large trains. It is one of the largest hump train yards in the USA. They say it can process 2,000 cars a day. But you still have to wait for another train to assemble for transport to the next destination.
I turned my XL to a Turbo Special Edition. Got these off of Ebay. Put them on the back too!. Note the little F-50 on the lower right hand side of the tailgate for a joke.
My Maverick delivery is stuck at Gateway Yard, which is a Union Pacific hump yard outside of St Louis. It is scheduled to be brought back to the BNSF Kansas City car depot for truck transport to Granger Ford. My guess is the train is handing off other deliveries to Union Pacific and that is...
The traction of a FWD Maverick with snow tires is perfect for my hilly area in Minnesota. As a bonus, you can find the steelies rims cheap for the snow tires, as many XL owners swap them out.
