Edit: Here’s a link to the video. Hopefully this helps someone who’s on the fence make an informed decision on whether to do this mod or not.

(Mods: If this is in the wrong forum please move to the correct one) Okay so, I FINALLY decided to add the F-150 shifter and OH MY DAYS is it ridiculous to install. I’ve got it installed somewhat… First and for most, cutting the plastic to make it fit is a PITA. You have to trim from both the shifter plastic and from the plastic on the center console which was assumed. I just didn’t realize how much. I can see why Ivan from Fast Mavericks used those aftermarket covers. The plug harness for the shifter also needed to be lengthened too which was never mentioned. (Video right after first pic explaining this) Ivan did not do a good job mentioning how anything was mounted, nor what was involved in his original post. I’m glad I have time to make it work and look good as time goes on because as it sits right now, it’s TERRIBLE. It’ll get better little by little but it’s definitely not an easy job. Also, some things you’ll need along with the shifter: The Lariat steering column cover if you don’t have a Mav with the trailer brake. You can mount the E-brake there (I’ll post a picture), the shifter itself, some 18 gauge cable to lengthen the shifter plug harness, and one of plastic trim cover from the F150 and one from the maverick (I’ll post pics of the ones I’m gonna buy. If you’re not okay with hack jobs at any point in a build, DO NOT do this mod. Cause I assure you that it will look like a hack job at least temporarily. I’ll update as I chug along at tackling this dang install. I plan on making a full video of everything and I’ll add it to this first post as well. If anyone else besides Ivan has tackled this and just hasn’t posted I’d LOVE feedback. If it’s been posted please send me the link and delete this post lol. I’ve scoured the forum with super limited info.

The shift dial works great. Spin dial CCW = Park. Spin CW = Drive. The dial position for me is in a great location that I never needs to look at. FYI - When you push the [ Start ] to turn off the truck the software automatically puts the truck in Park. Good idea Ford..! Just wish "all" the settings from the last drive cycle stayed for the next drive cycle. Main large LCD has to be changed back each time. The ECO setting goes back to Normal before you can "OK" the seat belt screen. 😔

Okay, so after a lot of trimming and moving stuff around on the floor of the center console, it’s gonna fit pretty well! But I will say, there was a lot of shuffling around that needed to be done. Had to remove one of the mounts and then chop off one of the bolts from as pictured

Then I had to relocate both the PCU and the BCM which I circled as well. They are pictured in the final resting

That’s all for now! I’ll update more later!!

This isn’t a post about whether to do it or not. It’s a how to. Please keep it on topic because there’s no info about it on the forum and it’s been done before and I’m trying to document it with accurate depictions on what has to be done. I don’t want this thread cluttered with irrelevant info that doesn’t pertain to what I’m doing.

I'd buy a f150 before I did this
It’s a pain. I woulda done paddle shifters had I known. But regardless just wanna keep this on topic, this isn’t an opinion thread on doing it or not. Just informative.

Ooof. That’s a lot of damage to your Mav for no increased functionality but I applaud the effort and determination.
I plan on getting the shifter buttons working too. Based on the info for the paddle shifters, it’ll be pretty straight forward. Just need to look at the F150 manual to find the right pins to tap into on the shifter itself. Luckily the PCM side of things is already covered on the forum!

So… are you doing paddle shifters after you figure this out? Oh, wait, I seem to recall it’s been done a while back.

The f150 shifter has buttons on it to shift, so no. I’m gonna get it wired up to work via the shifter. The manual mode does work. I can hear the truck shift down when I hit the M button. I also need to reprogram the BCM/PCM so that selectshift is enabled.

Alright yall here’s how it’s gonna sit for now it’s DEFINITELY not perfect but it’s working and it’s decent for a temporary solution. I’m gonna order the covers from Amazon and update this thread as I move forward genuinely, I do not recommend it if you’re not sure wanting perfection cause perfect it is not. Will it come close? Maybe. I feel like some 3D printed parts will be needed to REALLY make it work

I wouldn't do this even if someone does for me free, what I would love to take the whole console out and put a bench seat in the front.
But I still apreciated that you taking your time and the effort to bring pics and a diy guide for those who want to. Thanks.
