I like the OP's F-150 shifter mod and am happy to know it's possible. I've done a few miss-shifts with the dial because it spins too far and is not intuitive. I can't get used to it in 3 point turns or when I'm in a rush.

This shifter would be easier to use than the dial.

I love the rotary shifter and cannot understand the hate. It takes up less room and allows for faster shifting. I have never shifted by mistake. Imo it's a total improvement.

With that said I do admire your work installing the f150 shifter. Variety is the spice of life
I like the “wheel of fortune” but haven’t mastered it..

Hi. I’m eagerly awaiting a 24 XLT tremor and I was already looking forward to mods. If you don’t mind answering was the explorer st cluster straight forward plug and play? Any forscan coding needed?
Also the f150 shifter install, did you relocate the parking brake release button or just eliminated it? Since the f150 shifter takes up that entire slot I was just curious. Thanks

I like it too. I was worried when I ordered and heard it had one, but it works so much faster than jags and rovers and the truck can be "rocked" with it. flick, in drive, flick, in park. The only time I pay attention to what I'm doing with it is going into reverse. Most of the time I don't even switch to park, I just shut the truck off. Knob, old style shifter, column stalk or pushbuttons on the dash, its all the same.

I wanted Black but they don’t make it so I settled for fauxbon fiber. With a little more work on the cup holder side this cover will make the shifter look OEM. I’m going to buy a Maverick one and piece it together since they are actually the same length. Maybe could have a batch made with the F150 shifter side and Mav right side.

Probably affect the resale value of the MAV.
In which direction? 😆 One of the few times where someone saying in an ad - 1 of 1 I know what I got - would actually be appropriate.

I'm an old fart and I like the dial as well, just gives you more room. Once upon a time you needed shifters because, well they shifted something but now they are nothing more than selectors, buttons and dials can do that.

But now you've done it: There's gonna be a run on F-150 shifter assemblies.
Lots of folks would rather have that than the rotary shifter knob thingy.

Love the new shifter! I have never like the rotary one. When people ask me how i like the maverick; I always tell them I really love everything aabout it except the rotary shifter. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to invest any more $$ in the vehicle than i have. I have a 2022....and will probably switch to an electric vehicle in 2-3 yrs.

On the new Ranger Everest Ford was going to use a dial shifter but after receiving feedback from focus groups they chaged it to an e-shifter. It has a smaller footprint and may be an easier option size-wise if the connector is the same as the one for the dial. Don't know how to find out.

UPDATE: After searching part numbers further it turns out the Ford Ranger Everest is only available in Australia and New Zealand as a 7-seat SUV (Ford often uses the same name for different vehicles in different regions — look up Ford Maverick on Wikipedia to see the different versions). Hopefully the e-shifter will find its way to a US vehicle someday soon.

UPDATE#2: We may see this e-shifter in the US on the 2025 Ranger Lariet hybrid if it gets built
