All three of the Mavericks I have on order are AWD EcoBoosts. None of them are scheduled yet. Due to the wait time I ended up having to buy a different vehicle. I needed something by mid-May. That seemed reasonable when I ordered in January, but now there is no chance I will have a Maverick by then. I ended up settling on a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. All RAV4 Hybrids are AWD, so that aspect of my driving needs is covered.
I live in North Carolina. We don't get much snow and I don't generally drive off-road on purpose. I don't need my Maverick to be AWD for any particular reason. I'm considering changing my orders to FWD to save the $3305 the AWD costs (plus no FX4, so I would be saving there too).
So, I'm looking for experience with the EcoBoost FWD. Any input?
Thanks!
