The first time my battery died (at 1,500 miles; ecoboost engine; only drive once a week); I turned off the wifi trying to talk to my fordpass app on my phone. That’s what killed the battery - my not driving it enough and the Ford Pass app draining it. Ford Service came within an hour and...
Put the AT/4W on my XL AWD 4 months ago and I am very happy with them. I did lose mpg compared with the OEM Procontacts, but i drive on dirt and rocky roads so these Falken Wildpeaks will last a lot longer.
Thank you. Two and half years after ownership, I did replace the tires with AT4 Falken Wildpeaks and the white paint chipped on the tire swap process (tire store was not that careful with the first wheel, which chipped the most) so I took the opportunity to repaint them, and the center caps...
I have not.
Basically, I have them for emergency and I follow the local road conditions to avoid driving when chains or alternatives are required (CalTrans Qiuckmap app for California). Since the section of road that impacts me is only 7 miles, I also bought snow socks - for the front tires...
My dealer told me tires were covered for 18 months, and made me sign a paper acknowledging using tire chains would negate that warranty. I did not buy any "extra" or extended warranty.

There are DIY options that retain the fixed tie down and add 2 or more rail tie downs. The Ford OEM is double the cost and replaces one fixed with one sliding on each side.
I am interested in tires only. Once you have your new shoes installed, and if tires are still available, message me here. I can meet you in Sonoma Market parking lot, Sonoma for the exchange.
I noticed on my EB it took about 6,000 miles for the engine to break in and feel appropriate/useful shifting, especially on declines. I used sport or tow mode on declines before to reduce breaking need, but now Normal mode holds the speed at low rpms on declines.
Okay, this is just a shot in the dark...but have them tighten the 10mm bolt on the negative charge on the battery. My EB battery was dead at 1,500 miles. I had been getting the deep sleep mode message a few times the weeks leading up to the dead battery.. Ford Road Assist came and jumped it...
I've read a few posts about slippery mode providing the best mpgs. Before I test this on my EB I'd like to know: Would driving in slippery mode on dry roads wear out the tires faster? Expert responses appreciated.
I have an XL AWD I use in the northern California mountains. I bought Peerless 0155505 Auto-Trac Tire Traction Chains on Amazon. They are listed for light pickups and SUVs. Technically, they are cables.
