Great write up of your personal experience that echos how many of us feel about the Maverick.
The Copilot is great to have. I had to scratch my head in puzzlement when one member seemed to be annoyed by the warning lights in the mirrors and wanted to trade out his mirrors for one's that weren't wired for the 360. Go figure.

We all pride ourselves on our driving ability. Problem with the safety technology is most people don't read the limitations in the owners manual (most don't even crack open the manual) plus the 50 pages about copilot and assist are hard to remember. That's why people keep dying in Teslas and they are being investigated. Same problem with commercial airline pilots - planes are so automated they don't know how to handle problems the automation can't handle.
