Check the tire pressure. It was shipped with 45 lbs for shipping purposes. Should be 35 for the road. Dealer should have looked after this.

Tire pressure does make a HUGE difference.

Beyond that, the Maverick is actually VERY smooth FOR A TRUCK. Have you ever ridden or driven a pickup before? I mean, the difference in smoothness between my Maverick and an F-150 or Ram is night and day. The Maverick rides SO MUCH smoother and SO MUCH MORE nimble than a full-size truck.

Now, that said, it does not ride any where near as smoothly as my 2006 Cadillac Escalade with 234,000 miles on the odometer.

As others have said, it's a cheap truck, not a luxury vehicle. And the suspension is very basic with no frills for added sound or vibration dampening. If I were you, I'd choose to just look at that as a good thing, as the Maverick suspension is not complicated and should be very easy to maintain/repair for the life of the vehicle.

I agree with the responses so far.
Either it’s the tires are overinflated,
or you’re getting out of a Cadillac.
The Maverick actually rides quite smoothly.
Someone once asked me: “Is this like driving a car, or like driving a truck?’
With NO hesitation I said “Car”

(He looked disappointed)

There is probably a good set of shocks that would make a difference my maverick has the fx4 shocks and you don't feel anything in/on the road. I occassionally deliver with my job's gmc 2500 and it isn't even close. It rides more like my boss's cadillac.

Mine were set at 45 as well. Much nicer ride once I lowered it to 35 psi.

Yes! Mine was almost 50 psi. Do the easiest things first

I know it’s a truck but when people ask me about my Maverick, I describe it as an SUV with a truck bed. This sits on the same chassis and the Escape and Bronco. My wife has an escape and it’s a pretty similar ride. Maybe bigger tires and a beefier suspension? I have an XLT hybrid so I am not sure if it rides differently from some of the other models?

The Hybrid and Eco have different rear suspensions! Cheaper to do solid rear on the Hybrid.

My wife's Tremor rides smoother than my FX4, which may ride smoother than AWD Mavericks with standard shocks. And of course I have no experience whatsoever with the hybrid.
