BYD sold more EV’s last month alone than the total number of Mavericks sold since 2022. Most of them were less expensive than a MaverickRight now there are no EV's for the masses. Name one if there is.

JIT adds too many "middle vendors" inflating MSRP's. OEM's need to build all in house maybe 2 or 3 versions = $, $$, & $$$. Then support buyer flex build scenarios!Agree & the video touches on your points.
What surprised me was the Japanese move away from Just In Time (JIT) & Continuous Improvement (CI). Did not see that coming…
I thought we were talking about the US market, I was. BYD doesnt sell any here. I will never buy an EV. They wont work for me. 100's of millions live in apartments. EV's dont work for them. There are less than 2 percent of cars on the road, here, that are EV's. There are a lot of issues to work out. They have had decades to get it right and it is still a work in progress. Too many secrets the EV fans want to hide. But the buyers soon find out. A few years down the road and tens of thousands of depreciation later they go back to gas. Its like the paperless office, not gonna happen.BYD sold more EV’s last month alone than the total number of Mavericks sold since 2022. Most of them were less expensive than a Maverick![]()
The Bolt is a low volume seller. A niche vehicle. It is great if it fits your needs. Definitely not for the masses. Have you got 260+ miles on a single charge? Or is that an exaggeration on chevy's part. Have you taken a 500 mile trip in a single day? If so, was it easy or a hassle? And the masses think the bosses are asses." Right now there are no EV's for the masses. Name one if there is. "
We just picked up a 2027 Chevy Bolt - ~260+ miles of range, fast charging, the cheapest EV available in America, and union made in Kansas. By no means perfect and Chevy has said it will be a limited run. Also, as one of my bosses used to say, "The masses are asses"!
GM loses about 8 GRAND per Chevy bolt. They cant continue that forever. Just looked it up to see if that is still correct and it is. Bolt sells in 28 K range Chevy Trax BIGGER sells for much less 24K range . So your paying for an inferior drive train convenience wise. Yes its lower cost to drive BUT you have to make up that initial price difference. All while GM loses 8 K." Right now there are no EV's for the masses. Name one if there is. "
