Electronic assisted steering feels like it's "pulling"

Ordered my Maverick September 2022, reordered September 2023, built January 9, 2024 and shipped January 11. Received in middle Tennessee February 1.
I love it and maybe it’s just me not being accustomed to it but the steering feels different. Seems to “pull” at times like there’s something else going on??? Anyone else have this feeling?
maybe just this old man.

It's the button on the end of the turn signal stalk.

Also, if changing lanes, using your turn signal will stop the pull from happening. It tells the truck (and nearby drivers) you're changing lanes.

You lose the cross traffic alert if you do that. While backing up the audio warning saved me from an accident twice.

You can change the setting for actively nudging the steering wheel in copilot 360 from the dash menu while maintaining cross traffic alerts. Read up on the different copilot 360 options in the owner’s manual.

This is the way.
Disabling lane keep did not disable backup cross traffic alerts in my truck.

Yeah, that claim seemed unlikely. Especially when the button is only labelled for lane-keeping. And I would expect if cross-traffic were to be disabled there would be some sort of message to notify that the system was off.

Yep, that's it. Awhile back, I bought a Hyundai, my first new car in a long time. I FOUGHT THE STEERING WHEEL THE WHOLE 25-MILE DRIVE HOME. Got home and found out it was the lane control system. (There were no lanes!)

I've driven several different brands of cars with lane keeping. It's interesting how differently they behave.
I had a similar experience with a Hyundai, in that it was always actively affecting the steering.
The GM one (Buick wagon/SUV) wasn't very active, but when it did go off it really yanked the steering wheel.
The one in a Subaru Crosstrek was fairly active, but quite subtle. Took me a while to realize it was the system, not just road crowning or something.
The Maverick is a bit less active than the Subie, but not as subtle. It seems like a good middle ground. (I haven't tried it on it's most active mode yet. I'll be interested to see if it makes the Mav behave more like the Buick...)

Interesting. Maybe I should give it a try on my Maverick. From my only experience, with the Hyundai, I automatically turned it OFF with the Maverick. BTW, I am not bashing Hyundai; my last two cars were Hyundais, and very good cars. As luck would have it, after I bought each car my circumstances changed and I needed a different vehicle. For example, I bought this Maverick to haul my fishing kayak. I developed sciatica, so I can no longer manhandle my kayak, so I gave it to a friend. Like Rosanne Roseannadanna says, "if it ain't one thin', it's somethin else."

If you have ACC the 3 blink lane change signaling will also activate the resume the instant you signal to change lanes but you must start the lane change without waiting.

I think the cross traffic alert just isn't super reliable.

I've had a couple cars pass behind my truck while I was in R without a beep. I've had it trigger on pedestrians walking 10 feet away. It works correct most of the time but I'm never going to rely on it over my eyeballs.
