As others have said Ford said the Maverick will be out in the Fall. So sometime between September 22nd and end of December. I ordered and XL hybrid in July but still don’t think I will see it until spring or summer next year.

Because like any other vehicle that Ford makes, you can go to the dealership and built an order to your specs then wait for it to be built. This way you can get what you want and without all the dealer add-ons that jack up the price. Otherwise you go to the dealership and hope they have something you like without to many options you don't like.
I'm with you on placing ORDERS- but we were talking about RESERVATIONS. Reservations are closed/unnecessary when you simply go straight to placing an ORDER of your build at your dealer.

assume you are replying to me, so here goes a little backstory: Originally bought the Ranchero for $875 around ~1978. It was pretty beat cosmetically as it was owned by a painter. Took care of all the mechanical issues and it was my daily driver as I worked on other issues over time. I prepped the body for paint myself and modified interior with Toyota Celica GT bucket seats and console, converted 3 on the tree to floor shift with a genuine Mario Andretti kit. Added a stereo. Recovered interior door panels myself and patched rusty floor then added carpet matching seats, door panels. Sent it out for paint. Was really proud of it and it got compliments. Was going to Community College by day and working part time after class.

1 day on the way to work some kid wanted to make a Left turn in front of me as I was coming downhill to a signal controlled intersection where I had the green light right of way. He started to turn but I honked at him in case he didn't see me- and he froze and stopped dead center in my lane and I had nowhere to go and he clipped my left front end. Turns out he was 16 in Mom's car and Police and everyone agreed it was his fault for violating my right of way and causing crash. We traded info and he agreed to pay to fix it but had no insurance. His mom backed that up at first.

I had it towed home and surveyed damage. Cars were made of heavier steel back then and it wasn't a total job. Built Ford Tough! Got 3 repair estimates on it and mailed to the kid & mom. I looked around and found a 64 Falcon that had been rolled, but had the intact front end I needed. I replaced radiator core support, grill, bumper, hood, Left front fender, etc. and sold the Falcon motor & trans, etc. to get my $ back- then had it hauled away to a salvage yard for a few more $. Primered it and did a rattle can paint job on front..

In the meantime I called the kid and tried to collect my $, but his mom jumped in and said it was all my fault and a lawyer friend told her I had no case and stop bothering them and hung up. I tried a couple more times, but ultimately had to go to small claims to get paid after like a year of chasing them.

So yeah, after all that I was pretty burned out on the whole thing and sold the Ranchero  Years later I had a 1973 Ranchero with 351 Cleveland that was a good car for me for a few years and no drama. I'd love to have another 64/65 1 day, but I'll buy it already restored next time :)

I'm pretty certain mine will be here by Christmas.

I spoke directly to Santa Claus.
