Before we hyperventilate over steering read manual page 205. The steering control is tied in to an adaptive control system so there can be computer controlled actions. Perhaps it won't be 100% until drive mode is selected. Also read where a low tire or mis alignment may cause the adaptive system to switch off. This is NOT just a "make turning the wheels into a new direction EASIER system". If you change battery or disconnect the battery cables there is mention of required learning. So with perhaps a brief occasional resistance to steering we should not get immediately excited??? The dealer will have to determine what any problem is and react accordingly.
