I notice faster deceleration when lifting off the accelerator pedal and slower acceleration when resuming cruise control. Could be my imagination. I haven't read this anywhere in a Ford manual or done any real controlled experimentation on my part.

Hybrid - it changes the Go pedal response and coasting regen, and level the brake regen engages.

Those modes are almost all about helping you change something while driving.
Or helps with your traffic or terrain driving scenarios.

Eco more coasting regen then Normal.
Eco more brake pedal regen then Normal with pedal at same height, more range.
Eco less Go pedal response then Normal at same height, more range.

Have a problem punching out of EV mode and kicking the ICE on - perhaps Eco will help.
Have a problem punching the brakes too hard and into physical instead of more regen - perhaps Eco will help.

Awesome. Super helpful answer!

Eco mode dials back throttle response, shifts earlier, and even tones down the A/C to squeeze a little more efficiency out of the truck (on the hybrid it’ll lean on the electric motor more, too). It works best around town or cruising easy, but the MPG gain isn’t huge unless you’re already driving smooth. Normal mode feels way better when you need power—merging, towing, hills, etc. If you notice the A/C not blasting as hard in Eco, that’s by design to help save fuel.

PS. There's actually not a huge amount of savings in ECO mode. Most just leave it in Normal and enjoy.

I tried 'em all but have settled into normal with my hybrid. I'm getting 46-48 local. I'm thrilled. So for me, and I'm not saying this for anyone else, I don't mess with it.

I notice when using cruise control it takes longer to get be up to set speed and since I drive mountain roads it won't ever make it back up to set speed while going uphill unless I depress the gas pedal..Much slower acceleration time as well...

If I didn’t have to push the ECO button everytime getting in the truck I,d use it. Wish you could select & it would stay in ECO….

On my Ecoboost
Eco makes it run like it needs a tune up.
Worthless feature IMO

On the EB, Eco simply slows the acceleration and shifts up faster. Basically, the opposite of sport which is punchier and sticks to lower gears longer.

On the hybrid, I'm sure it does the same and maybe goes heavier on the regen.

Personally, I prefer the more sensitive control that normal provides over Eco. I'm not a lead foot so I'm probably more efficient than Eco mode anyway...

I've a 25 hybrid AWD... Double-checked and see that the "L" position seems to ONLY increase the regen to FULL regen at all times. I sort of like that as it similar to one-pedal driving (which was great on our BOLT EUV)!

On the hybrid, Low does NOT appear to have any effect on the quasi-gearing, so it's not a traditional LOW gear... really just MAX regen. I am going to start using it along with driving in ECO mode and see what it does.
