I did this with L track, as I like the look of it.

I like the flip down rings as they they don’t protrude into the bed area unless you are using them. I’m thinking about using the existing threaded mounting holes to use V or D rings as I really don’t need the adjustability and way cheaper option.

I found black strut channel on Ebay, precut to 36 in. lengths... worked out great.

46" length, undrilled, angled.

I'm consindering making several kits up for people who may want them. Pricing would be about $149 plus shipping for a complete kit with drilled and countersunk rails, bolts and 6 tie down fittings. I suppose I should take a poll to see if folks would be interested.

$95 unpainted?! You can get a 10' piece of that strut for under $50 from HD and the hardware for likely $10 or less, for a little over $100 I could have enough rail and hardware for 3 trucks...

Maybe I should start an Etsy store of my own...

Looks like Unistrut. I got some for a good price from Grainger. You can get painted, Aluminum or stainless.

Did exactly the same - 15 minutes to install. Just did not need the adjustable rail either. $10.00 on Amazon.

Hey thanks for this. I didn’t see black, but I found a good price for the Zoro ones in aluminum. I’m wondering if you could share where you got your end caps? Or what ones exactly? I want to make sure the ones I get fit. Thanks!

These are the caps I used... Had to do a little snipping with a diagonal cutter to get them to fit snugly.

So they were just a little too big?

Hehe... a little too snug. Had to snip the corners of the part that goes into the rail to help them get in there and grip. You'll see when you try it.

Yeah, 10' Unistrut at my local Lowes is like $33. Chop it in half and you got enough length for both sides of the Maverick bed.
