I used to have a class in ecvt. Toyota developed it but I think ford also participated or bought the use of it. But overall, it has min moving parts compared to other transmission and it’s very reliable. That’s why there are so many Prius past 300k

Baldguy said he personally saw three different vehicles with the "Made in USA" information, so it is on him, IMO, to come up with the underhood shot of the engine sticker with the appropriate engine plant code that backs up his statement. But, he has demurred to this date.

I don’t know where my Hybrid Maverick engine and transmission were built but they run as smoothly and reliable as a well charged Apple Watch!! I love driving this truck and to those still waiting, it’s well worth the wait. (477 day wait for mine)

My experience with CVTs were mixed.
Our 14 C-Max with the 2.0 was a running Bugga. Years before I had a Suzuki Kasashi with a 175 hp 2.0 and a cvt. Sexy looking car that ran like a sick dog. Couldn’t get rid of it fast enough!
C-Max is still going strong with 112,000+ miles, we passed it on to our son to use for his commuter vehicle.

Some of what the OP said is factual. eCVTs =/= CVTs

eCVTs in traditional parallel hybrids are a completely different design.

It really wasn't. That part is myth.
Ford and Toyota BOTH developed their own hybrid transmissions in house. Toyota beat Ford to market by a few years.

The two companies SHARE technologies that are very similar.

The new generation five Prius (2023) is very much alike with a Maverick.

Horsepower, torque, vehicle weight, accelerations are almost the same.
Sedan, "almost sporty" body for 2023 vs 4 door pickup. But more same than different under the hood.

I'm looking for the source, but I read Toyota licensed some tech from Ford for the 2023 Prius.

There's also this aftermarket conversion.

I have seen you on you tube awesome man but i will say this i have seen this sticker on the side window of 3 diff ford mavericks that clearly stats now the hybrid engine and tran is produced in the U S it is about a 6 bye 6 inch sticker white with black print this is put on by ford the driver side rear window and it has been on this sight also in the last few weeks where other people has seen it ford started this after engine fire recalls the trucks made in Mat June i know have this check it out for your self before you loose credibility with your veiwer's

Oh I forgot we now a term for this type of information that came out about 4-5 years ago. "Alternate Facts" Yep that must be the facts the OP is referring to.

See the other thread referenced above. Many have gotten that same PCI listing a US-built engine. In reality, everyone who has looked under the hood so far reports the engine still says CHEP - Chihuahua Engine Plant in Chihuahua, Mexico . Please check at the location @Ford Truck Guy referenced above and let us know what you see.
