  1. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

Bill was stating that with shipping the base price is closer to $25k with no options. I started with hopes ford could find a way to lower the price to under $23 k with shipping.
  2. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

What year Fusion, I had a 2009 2.3l it had 160 hp. Yes it was not as fast as my 1990 Mustang 5.0 5 speed. But it was mid 7 second 0-60. 2010 Fusion grew to 2.5l and 175 hp. This is the same basic engine with a lower compression Atkins cycle engine. In 2024 we should be able to get at least 185...
  3. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

My Maverick is a hybrid. But I paid less than $25,000 out the door. When I order my maverick price was under 20,000+ shipping and handling. My insurance in the last year has almost doubled. I have no complaints with hybrids just trying to get back to the basic low-cost vehicle. I have a fleet...
  4. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

That’s why I said get rid of the Atkin cycle which reduces horsepower, but increases miles per gallon. You should be able to get 185 hp of that engine.
  5. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

I had a 2023 Toyota RAV4 awd on vacation last summer averaged 37 mpg non hybrid. Trip from Nashville to Vicksburg was 41.5 mpg. Was very happy with the miles per gallon I got with a non-hybrid.
  6. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

Someone in another thread suggested Ford use the 1.5 L turbo to cut costs for a base model Maverick. I started a thread to come up with other ideas to lower the cost for people who are just looking for basic transportation, removing the battery pack and using a non-ECVT transmission could help...
  7. Ford should offer the 2.5L with out hybrid and using a non CVT Transmission

I think Ford should come out with a maverick with a traditional 2.5 L four-cylinder and a non-CVT transmission. My old fusion had a very reliable engine transmission combination that could help cut costs Lower the prices of a base vehicle. The 2.5 L engine, made over 175 hp and is very close to...
  8. 2025 Ford Maverick Refresh / Facelift?

Just offer the 2.5L without hybrid. The 2.5L in the Fusion made over 175 hp, and is reliable vs POS 1.5L turbo.
  9. My 1-Year 12,000 Mile Maverick Review (Honeymoon is over...)

Just hit 9,000 miles and have owned it for almost 11 months. A lot of highway driving, filling the bed with firewood on 150+ mile drives, and helping the neighbors pickup large items. Average 39.2 mpg since new.
  10. Installed Key Fob Remote Start -- My Favorite Mod Yet for XL / XLT / Lariat

Added the alarm/remote start as well as a locking tailgate to my XL hybrid a month after getting my Maverick. Works great but need to contact my insurance and see if I can get a discount. Cheap and easy upgrades completely OEM parts.
  11. Has anyone tried using mustang MachE rims on their maverick

Just put on the Bronco Sport rims for the winter. The Michelin Tires have a deeper tread, so should do a little better in the snow.
  12. Blackstone Oil Analysis on first Hybrid Oil Change - 1,200mi

Just changed my oil at 1,500 miles. Found some solids in the oil after emptying the oil pan. Also used Mobil 1 hybrid 0w 20 had to use Walmart Super tech 0w 20 as the only brand in one quart size left on the shelves. Good to know FL 400s works with the hybrid engine. I used the ford recommended...
  13. E-CVT and HYBRID/ENGINE FACTS

Finally found time to get under the hood to change the oil and check on the engine tag. Engine tag denotes made in Mexico while paperwork says made in U.S.
  14. Unicorn Delivered! XL Hybrid Mavericks Do Exist

I don’t think the XLs are as rare as you think. I was in Cape May County NJ over the weekend and saw over a dozen Mavericks in a twenty minute drive to and from the ACME. Most were XLs with steel wheel. Get harder to tell as people love custom rims on all levels. I had Mustang Mach e rims on my...
  15. E-CVT and HYBRID/ENGINE FACTS

I guess I got lucky. Waiting over 18 months for my maverick. I got a late April build. Engine and transmission both made the US.
  16. Reasons You Purchased EcoBoost Instead of Hybrid

Ford has produced hybrid SUVs since the 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid. My brother in law has over 200k on his 2008 Escape Hybrid, still on original battery no issues. I had a 2009 Ford Fusion 2.3L made at the Mexico plant had the car 9 years then sold it for a 2010 Mercury Milan AWD also made at the...
  17. Just saw a Government owned Maverick at a National Park

I see companies with them all the time. This one had the 4 k package a block away from my house
  18. Just saw a Government owned Maverick at a National Park

they are all owned by the government. They are leased through GSA who owns them. But in this case the Maverick is owned by the DOI since the tag begins with an “I”.
