After purchasing my used 22 Lariat Hybrid with 35k miles on it a few months ago I've recently seen the wrench light a few times so I hooked up forscan and pulled the DTCs.

For the experts (and curious here) here is what Ive found. A few questions first:

1) It does not seem so but are any of these serious enough that it needs to see the mechanic immediately?
2) How likely is it that any of these would be covered under the remaining warranty?
3) Is it common to see this number/frequency of DTCs with these modern electronic 'chines?

Note that I also have a few Drivetrain Alerts in the Ford App but I cannot tell what they are. I assume that they are related to these errors.

Thanks in advance!

I don’t have a solution for you on the DTCs you are mentioning here, but I also have “
Code: U0415 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module

Status (-28):
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Module: Parking Aid Module” present in my logs on my vehicle. Scheduled a dealer appointment to have them look at it tomorrow since my bumper to bumper warranty is up on 03/28. Will post back on what they tell me.

I believe the "not present at this time" note means it's no longer a factor.

I disconnected my 12v and the BCM set a fault that I later pulled but was "not present at this time".

Forscan found it, my regular OBD2 did not, probably because it wasn't active.

If under warranty I would have them check it out but if not, clear it out and see if it returns after a week or two of driving.

Thanks for the insight on that. I’m new to forscan as of about a week ago, so still learning some of the terms.

For me at least, I’ve cleared this code a few times, very next drive cycle it returns. So it’s triggering at first startup maybe? Not sure, would keep clearing and testing but with the bumper 2 bumper running out on Friday, figured I’d better be safe than sorry.

If it's returning there is an issue. Definitely take it in.

I'm new to Forscan too. So far I really like it. Might be the reason I stick to Ford in general in the future with ability to do factory tests and programming from home without additional costs.

Seems like an issue, have you scheduled a service appointment? What have they said?

I’m a software engineer by trade so it’s been fun to get this kind of data and tinker with things. I did the fog light mod with the F150 hybrid light switch and used Forscan to control the fog lights through the BCM. Love the functionality and then started digging into the world of DTCs.

Appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning, hope they have an answer later in the afternoon. I would’ve kept testing over a week or so but was thinking along the lines of what you were saying - need to take it in before my warranty expires, which is this Friday. Luckily my dealer was able to squeeze me in tomorrow after I noted that my factory warranty was expiring soon.

So update on this one, took my truck in this morning, tech mentioned that they had to perform “a bunch of software updates” and that I should be good to go now.

Not sure @Stizzed if you still have any factory warranty left but I’d take it in and ask them to check for any SSMs. It looks like we both have the same truck (down to the color!) so chances are that “ ===PAM DTC U0415:00-28===
Code: U0415 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module” should be fixed by the updates that they will run for you.

On a related note, I had another DTC for a low battery (can’t remember the actual code) and mentioned it to my service advisor and they replaced my 12V today. In the 3 years I’ve had my maverick this is the 3rd battery it’s had.

if you see the wrench light on again definitely park and leave it in the on position and then look with forscan before you turn off the ignition.
