Door Reflectors

I grabbed a roll of 3M Diamond Grade conspicuity tape and did the door jambs since I'm out past dark frequently.

Black tapes exist if you want it to blend in better. I went with white as it has the highest possible reflectance and my Maverick isn't a showpiece.

I just did the same pictures with my Maverick to show that it has no reflective properties, compared to a couple of actual reflectors.

Adding reflective prisms would add $0.000001 to the Maverick's overall production cost!!!

I just did another quick test.
3M reflective white and black tape against actual reflectors.
Heck I didn't even bother turning the tape over to see if it reflected better a different angle.

All tapes are not created equal.
Below is the medium grade reflective tape. This one also comes in RED

I may have to rethink my purchase. Thanks.

I just noticed my Lariat has these reflectors embedded in the door panels. Unsure of how effective they are. What about XL and XLT owners?

They're not reflectors. They're the same on all trims. @Glen Baker LLC shows this in his photo above. They're just translucent red plastic.
