I'm pretty sure they auto lock at 15 mph or 20ish kph.
I can't remember if the little lock tab beside the handle goes down when they lock, I literally just got out of the truck and I never think to look at the door handles while driving.

I call it an audible indicator... You can hear them both inside and outside when they are locking/unlocking, and in both cases 1 door vs. 4 doors is distinguishable to my ear.

Visibly, you have the tabs above the door handle lever that are either flush or poking out a little bit depending on lock status. The front two are easy enough; the back are gonna be a pain to look at.

I wish they would've used the door lock buttons from the 2019-current Ranger. My '22 Ranger had it and I thought it was convenient to see. Wonder if the buttons will swap in? Hmm

The locks are right above the door release handle. You can tell if they’re locked just by looking at them.

I don't know of any vehicles that provide this. There are probably some high end ones that do, however. I believe this is something that should be provided, especially now that vehicles lock and unlock depending on speed, movement or program selection. I wouldn't expect it (or even self locking) on a low end vehicle like the Maverick. But, where the Maverick has the auto locking feature, it sure would be nice to have.

You can see the black handle in different position.

Thanks much.I was hoping there was something I was just missing but evidently not.Poor design if you ask me
At least there ARE manual locking mechanisms on the Maverick.
As pictured below.

Where as the 2013-16 Ford Escape does
NOT have any manual locking mechanism.

My parents have an Escape of that vintage, and there is literally no way to unlock the back doors from the back of the vehicle! No buttons, no latches, no nothing. So frustrating and a huge safety issue to not be able to open the door from the inside if it's locked.

Provided the child safety Lock is disabled.
Opening the locked doors front and rear from the inside of the Ford Escape is fairly easy.
All you do is a Double Pull on the door handle and the doors unlock and open as shown in the video I just made.
