First time using the X-Plan. Just want to make sure that I’m getting the full advantage of the Plan. I’m in Texas.

That looks correct. The xplan only takes about a Thousand off and limits any dealer fees they can charge to like $100.

Yep. My build was $31800 msrp and x plan would save me $800.

Which kind of dealer fees are you referring to?
There are to many to list. Dealers have fir a longtime added other line items to invoice. Doc fee is one. It is limited under the xplan.

The dealer doc fees, which I believe are limited to $150 under X-Plan. Some car dealers charge $999 in doc fees on used and new car sales, so this limitation is a good thing.

Yup, X Plan is roughly an invoice deal.

Isn’t X-Plan supposed to be a discount under the dealer invoice rather than MSRP? From what I understand, there’s a difference between Invoice and MSRP.

It is, but then they add an administration fee onto it that brings it back close to invoice. The big savings is the limit on the dealer documentation fee. That saves a ton

X-plan is invoice - 0.4% +$275 admin fee. It also caps all dealer added fees to a $100 document fee.

so you doc fee should only be $100 instead of $150. Some of the other “registration fees” May also be dealer added fees (as opposed to state DOL fees) that you may not actually owe under xplan but they’re low enough it’s prob not worth fighting over imo.

This thread great info. I was thinking about buying 100 shares of F so I could get in on this but it doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble unless I just already had it in my portfolio.

Buying in via Ford shares also takes like 6 months for eligibility. Mustang Club of America is cheaper and faster at 90 days. That or if you can find a dealer with not outrageous doc fees the $500 from joining a Farm Bureau can be a better deal. Since it's manufacturer cash you shouldn't get any pushback like X-plan which some dealers aren't honoring in the current market.
