Does mounting a dash cam behind the rear view mirror affect the Ford cameras?

I am getting a dash cam and was wondering if anyone had an issues mounting them close to the cameras. Or should I make an effort to get it as far away from the ceras as I can.

I think the manual says it is a bad idea (maybe that was the manual for my wife's 2024 Subaru, can't recall specifically), but in practice it is fine. The front facing camera is encased behind a plastic shroud and is looking forward, not directly below itself. Stuff on the glass below that shroud should not have any impact since it is outside the view of the camera. Think about it.....if the front facing camera could see your dash cam mounted below it, that means the front facing camera angle would be pointed down at your hood, etc...

I have both my dash cams mounted behind my rear view mirror in both of my 2019 Explorer and 2024 Maverick. No issues

No issue with a dash cam mounted in the same area other people here are showing, had one there since day one of owning the truck over 2 years ago. Only time I get error warnings about the camera is when the window gets fogged up at the top.

I've got the Red Tiger F7N. Works good for me and it comes with the rear facing cam.

I have the Cobra SC250R. The front is 4k and the rear is 1080p. I hard wired them.

Here's a photo of the box for you if you care. I always keep the boxes to everything I buy at least for a couple years.

It also came with a 32 GB micro SD card. There's also an expansion port for a in cab camera if you care for that. So this supports three total cameras at the same time.

The front is 4K and the other two are 1080p.
